Especially now that classic servers just opened, this is an easy money maker for first silvers.
Buy one from the vendor and sell it on the auction house for 5-10 times as much.

People tend to have forgotten that this can be bought at a vendor and just snag it up from the AH.
Tends to sell a couple of times a day depending on your server

Another one is to visit every fishing trainer vendor you see and look to see if Strong Fishing Pole is up. It is a rare item in their inventory but sells pretty big on the AH for anyone that doesn't have the other +Fishing Skill poles.
