These are great money-makers, especially early on in the game. All of the gems are either mined or prospected from copper and tin ore. If you sell them for less than 1g, they are almost immediately bought (just think, a "blue" for less than 1g!).

Probably not the best item to level up jewelcrafting though, as they do require quite a few gems.

This is an excellent ring for Druids. The +dmg/heal is obviously useful for all druids specs, but even more useful (at least in cat form) is the bonus to weapon damage. In cat form, since druids attack at 1.0 speed, every +1 weapon damage equates to 1 full DPS, or 14 AP. There is no other ring this early in the game that aids a leveling druid more.

Another thing that makes this, and similar items great, is that it applies to ALL weapons being used simultaneously.

Folks should remember that armor items with straight +weapon damage add to a druid's base weapon damage on a 1sec swing in cat form (AKA +1 weapon damage = +1dps). The general rule of thumb is +1 weapon damage on an armor item = 14 AP.

That makes items like https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=24114 and https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=32654 amazingly good given the limited effort needed to obtain them.

That said, since druids don't have cat form by the 19 bg, this item is a bit under-praised. It's still a solid choice until you can find a ring with 7str or some combination of str/agi.

i agree with phantom4331; the mats are VERY easy to get considering its a blue item and sell it for 1g25s buyout

Just remember that weapon damage items like this only increase a druid's WHITE damage. Yellow (special) attacks benefit from straight attack power increases only (including agility and strength). Invisible AP like weapon damage only benefits their normal hits.

This is good way to make money at low level. Materials to craft this one can be easily farmed or bought from AH at 2-3g. It can be sold by 6-20g depending on your server. I made easily 60g for making these and selling them at lvl 18. :)

One potential method to find out the exact increase is from the in-game character screen. There is a drop down box on the Character's stats page that displays the bonus spell damage aggregated from the armor/weapons you are currently equipped with. put the ring on while having this page open and see if it makes a difference to the bonus spell damage figure.

I put this on, and using renew, tested the healing, it did +1 healing per tick of renew, which comes out to +5 healing the ring gave me.

for the rings lvl, that is considerable for healers, but not for non-healers, cause otherwise your only using half of the rings potential.

How do I know? I clicked that green equip line that says slightly increases... And the spell is increase spell damage and healing 6 (Well I only remember the 6...)

Good item for a caster twink, or just for leveling as it isn't very expensive at all; since a lot of JCs make this item just to level their profession.

I'd assume he got the info from wearing it and looking at the Bonus Damage in the Spells tab in the Character sheet..

+1 damage on a 1.00 speed weapon (IE druid cat form) = 1dps. This is a pretty awesome ring from that point of view because it effects feral form damage (weapons with +weapon damage don't) The +spell damage is a great bonus on top of that. Another note is that these non weapon +damage items should be great for dual wielding rogues with fast weapons as the item will add to both weapons.

This pattern is available for the alliance in the exoar (the drenai city) as a trainable skill.

question, would the + 1 dmg help with ranged ?, and the same for the + spell dmg, does that help spells like Arcane shot, or other stuff like that ?

I don't know if the +1 weapon damage affects ranged, but the +spell damage does not affect Arcane Shot. As far as I know, Arcane Shot scales with your attackpower, but is still considered a spell (arcane damage) as it is affected by +spell crit rates.

Go to whoever your next higher-up Jewelcrafting trainer is (the Master Jewelcrafter in Silvermoon trains me even though I'm only Journeyman myself) and they'll have the ring for training.

this is a peice of crap and a waste of gems. It requires 8 gems total and only does +1 Weapon Damage and Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects "slightly."

Whoever thinks this ring sucks has never leveled a pally. Pally DPS is wep dmg AND spell dmg through Seal of Righteouness on EVERY SWING! Name me one other ring that buffs the dammage for both... at this level... you can't. Rocks for Pallies!

Absolutely works on ranged weapons. Tested it out. Adds +1 Damage, just like a +1 scope. And just like a scope, it gives you more DPS the faster the weapon speed.

An excellent piece of gear for a low level protection paladin. Due to the lack of +spell mail at low level they may have a hard time keeping aggro. And this would provide a nice bit of extra threat. besides the+1 damage on a fast one-hander is nothing to disregard.

This ring is perfectly for my 19 ele/resto shaman. Every class at 19 can benefit from it in some way, and everyone should take a look at it. And by no means is it a waste if your a 19 twink.

This is a nice ring for the mats it takes. 3 tigerseye 3 malachite 2 shadowgem and 4 bronze bar 2 for the ring and 2 for the set. on my server thats under 2 g in mats and possibly under 1 on the stones as these low level gems sell for a few silver most of the time. As a blue it should have potential as a de item also not sure on that one. The only reason this would not be a great use of the mats is if your server has very high values on these low level gems. On my server copper values are good enough and gem values low enough that prospecting copper ore would be a total waste of mats but milage may vary so do your own checking.

You see, this ring is best for Paladins, Shamans and Druids, but mostly Paladins and Shamans. This ring is great for low level versatile classes, because we get the heal bonus, the spell damage bonus for shocks and seal releases, and the weapon damage. Great ring, thanks Blizz!
