I would recommend any druid heading to MC to choose this reward because of one fight: Shazzrah. Shazzrah is essentially a mage on crack and spams Arcane Explosion nonstop. So this entire fight basically consists of everyone except the main tank standing out of range of hi AE while whittling him down with ranged attacks and spells. Periodically, Shazzrah teleports to someone outside of AE range and continues AEing in that area until the tank can bring him back out of range. During this time, whoever is in range is getting hit for a lot of arcane damage, and every bit of arcane resist helps.

Basically, unless you are dead set on going feral, or don't plan on going to MC, pick these up. The stats aren't all bad, and every little bit of arcane resist helps in the Shazzrah fight.

i like the belt but i have +1 to dodge and crit already and another +1 to both would be good but imma rogue and may choose the shoulders just because 1)the look cool and 2) the int is awesome for weapon training and i can switch out with my other shoulders when im in a real fight so yah this is my opinion for those having trouble oh yah and ALSO this is a great druid item for the int and spi there ya go for you guys.

Actually this item should be chosen over the belt.

I was ignorant when i completed this quest and failed to notice the Arcane resist value of the shoulder pads when i was all think about physical damage output.

That is a wrong perception - one will eventually get Shadowcraft, Nightslayer and so on, making Vosh'gajin's Strand a useless belt. The AR however, is hard to find.

These have a little more int and a little less spi than the ironfeather ones... And the arcane resistance is negligible. BUT! These are free, and the ironfeather ones are not. :P

The 5% resistance to silence from the ironfeather set is pretty rubbish anyway (I spend most of my time in AB silenced, groan) so it doesn't really matter. Hence, if you don't want to spend the money or the time grinding for materials for the Ironfeather shoulders, this is a nice alternative.

Now the real question would be... why make this a reward for a LBRS quest, where the Wildheart shoulders drop? :P

Oh and also... Vosh'gajin's Strand] is another reward from this quest, and it's a nice feral belt, one which you won't have to fight with rogues in order to get.

These are the only leather arcane resist shoulders in the game. You should take them and save them for that reason alone. All the other gear is replaceable, but this isn't.

Havent done the q but what can these spaulders do that Ironfeather Shoulders cant...? Being a druid, I see no reason for doing this quest.

Thats not true i have darkfire amulet and been in ONY and abondon this quest casue i have better items then it gives.

To all them wich said this quest chain doesn't lead to the Onyxia Necklace. Wich you need to enter her lair.

Read again! Because it most certainly did!
Without doing this quest chain, from wich Warlord's Command on the Horde side is the start, you can't enter Onyxia's Lair.
