With +208 healing I drained 123 life... although with that kind of crappy proc-rate it's not that great... but 123 XD

As far as I understand the proc is equal to a warlocks drain life, Rank3. But only one tick. So it should be affected by +damage (shadow) in the same way as drain life is. Not affected by +healing though.

After the 2.3 change, this weapon can be considered one of the best level 49 one-handers. Very nice stats, and a proc to go with it!

Great OH weapon for a combat spec 49 twink rogue. Also a fury specced warrior would get some good use as an OH for the 49 bracket.

Those are ideal for a mace/combat spec rogue (even better with the human racial). Enchant Lifestealing on the Fist, and just about anything else on the Hammer, and you're ready to rock and roll in PvP.

or you make a 49 shammy twink with dual those with dubble lifestealing and u will get some sick hp5.

Maybe two slower wpns are better for overall dps but in the 49 bracket you dominate so much anyway so might as well throw in some extra fun in it :D

Proc on this weapon operates on a 44.86% of spell dmg/healing. Taking into effect a full twinked Shaman basing on AP, you can reach 850+ AP, and as of patch 2.3, shaman now benefit Spell Damage from 30% of their AP. A fully buffed Shaman with Zerker, Might and Battleshout can easily get procs of 275+(unbuffed roughly 150). This is the best and greatest choice for OH for a Dualweild Shaman. I will try Dual weilding two of these soon, and report back

Seem's like it'd be a decent weapon for an aoe grinding prot paladin. the speed is less than 2.0 so you could get all of the reckoning procs off.

Although I'm going to have to test it to be sure, if the proc rate is high enough this mace plus the demon forged breastplate

might be able to keep you healed enough that you can judge/seal wisdom instead of light and keep consecrate/holy shield up indefinately

With 270 spell dmg on my twink, and this offhand, it procs for about 300 on average. With Zerker and buffs, ive hit 400 lifesteals. Best Twink offhand for a shammy period. With new PTR changes, having a quick offhand with Flametongue will grant a MS type debuff, thus still sustaining the best offhanfd DW Shammy wep.

With Wraith Scythe (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=11920) I had proc, rising up to 340 (with nearly 1k AP) as a 52 Shaman. Had only BoM on me, and further more no buffs (totems.. but ok :p)
Now running bout 6th run for this sweety, hoping to get her now :)
Would be a nice lifestealing combo ^^

I will be testing the proc rate on this as I just acquired it for my paladin last night. I think it's a fairly decent proc rate as it procced about once a fight if not more.

And I can confirm that as of 2.4, the proc is still affected by 100% spell damage. I have +39 spell damage gear lying around on my paladin and it stole 69 life instead of 30.

Its chance on hit is also effected by healing debuffs.
I was in BGs and had "Wound Poison" stacked on me and its negative effect to healing applied itself to the amount of life that was returned to me when this proc'd.

about the proc... its shadow damage, as in drain life, so it is affected by shadow dmg increasing gear, or magical dmg and effects increasing gear... hav yet to try it out with lots of dmg enhancement gear

I duel wielded these on my rogue and put a Lifestealing on both. Lets just say healers wont need to heal you NEARLY enough. Tht doesnt mean you can run into a huge group and expect to GAIN health, but I mean in a lot of fights suddenly all 4 proc and I gain 120 health. Ive had them all proc at the same time from an Auto Attack Sinister Strike Auto Attack once, my biggest record, its amazing.

EDIT: I recently thought of something. Duel Wield these, put a Lifestealing on each, be a Troll Rogue, Slice and Dice + Blood Fury + Blade Fury + Adrenaline Rush. You Sinister Strike and Auto Attack like mad, meaning you proc a TON more. Its an awsome combo.

It's quite a nice mace but sadly doesn't proc that often at all. About 1 in 3-4 fights i get it to proc, maybe Bliz could increase it's proc rate by 5% or something.

Yeah. Looking at my combat log I'm seeing 31 procs out of 1192 swings, which puts the proc rate for me at about 2.5%.

This may be a stupid question but.. if one where to have this on 1 piece of their gear.. ""Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 12."" would this mean that one would hit someone for 42 lifesteal, and also receive a heal for 42? assuming they dont have any
resistances..

and i was also wondering if it were to hit them for 42 would it comeback to you as 54 health returned? because if it does indeed "steal" health it should hit them for 42 come back to you as its own heal which would then add the 12 as a healing spell giving you 54 health..

This is now by far the best offhand for a mace spec rogue. Fury warrior may want to look into this too but there may be better weapons. Way too fast for a shammy.

this is an insane weapon for a shaman especially offhand (may be a little fast for mh) the proc gets a 100% bonus from spell dmg and now that enh gets an insane amount of spell dmg u can get 200+ lifesteals at 49+ ez

whats wrong with having a fast weapon as a shammy personally u can lay out the dps faster and this is a twink weapon so it really doesnt matter..

As of 2.4.2 the proc effect does take into account your +spelldmg. I don't know how much, but with +101 spelldmg and "One-Handed Weapon Specialization" talent on my pally it was proccing for 126 or so.

I got a drop of this the other night From Ogom, as McRed said, doesn't go off very often. Have had it occasionally go off a few times in one fight though, which is pretty good when it happens like that.

I can put a picture up here of it if someone can tell me how as it is a cool looking weapon.

Doesn't go off *that* often, even using windfury as a Shaman (Maybe once every mob or two) but when it does it's a nice little bonus, especially if you wanted to argue that stealing 30 life is more of a bonus that just a -30 damage chance on hit.

I got 38 life drains from 1,133 basic auto-attacks. Roughly translates to 3.3% chance-on-hit (or 1 PPM), with 1 crit that probably translates to a built-in 5% crit chance, which dealt exactly 52 damage so it's a 1.5x crit damage multiplier. The resulting added average dps is +0.5, which can increase if you're using any "extra attack" abilities like Windfury or Sinister Strike. I also tested this weapon's proc with 100 +Spell Damage equipped and there was a +100 increase in the amount of life stolen. I tested with 60 +Healing and there was no increase in the amount of life stolen.

The proc animation just makes your hands glow dark green for a second.
