General Raid Tips
Try to learn as much of the fight beforehand. Watch videos, watch streams, go over logs, all to recognize damage patterns.
Separate your raid cooldowns (
Tranquility
,
Revival
,
Aura Mastery
,
Power Word: Barrier
,
Divine Hymn
,
Healing Tide Totem
) with your other healers, unless otherwise required. On progression, your cds are precious and must be divvied up.
Minimize your own damage taken by maximizing your positioning.
Antorus the Burning Throne Specific Tips
Notes:
Keep an eye on positioning throughout the raid, clustering
Holy Word: Sanctify
together and quickly spreading out to cover
Annihilation
soaks. Stand next to the
Annihilation
if someone is already soaking when empowered so you can quickly jump into the 2nd soak that is required on Mythic.
Move as a group to make it easier to hit the raid with
Holy Word: Sanctify
Watch timings and overlaps on
Divine Hymn
Notes:
Heavy tank healing is required on this fight, healers likely will be split into two teams. Coordinate externals with the tanks and ensure tanks are aware of which healers and externals that they have available.
On Mythic, you will receive a debuff for Fire or Shadow reducing the damage you take from either spell type. When splitting
Siphoned
damage with the fire debuff, it is most important to stay stacked, even if you must run through the patches left behind from
Molten Touch
Stay spread during
Enflamed
debuff and rotate through raid cooldowns if players are poorly spread or, ideally, use them during
Siphoned
. Stay as a group, rotate through raid cooldowns and make sure the tanks are a key focus.
Notes:
Entropic Mine
will expire over time. Utilize the low healing required on the first pod to have a single player with strong defensives pop two
Entropic Mine
at a time at a constant rate. Using a raid cooldown early on will save healer mana for later in the fight
Players will receive a
Psychic Scarring
debuff preventing them from entering pods again. Focus healing targets inside pods at all times.
Rotate through healing cooldowns to deal with
Fusillade
's on pods 2 and 3. Pacing your mana is key with how long the fight lasts.
Work with your healers to plan out when others will be using their cooldowns so that you do not overlap.
On a first kill, it can be helpful to use
Binding Heal
to better pace out your mana.
Notes:
Prepare with your other healers to heal through
Collapsing World
's while keeping an eye on the additional raid damage that will hit after
Reality Tear
debuff expires on the tanks.
Take advantage of
Shining Force
to knock adds from portals into melee or into the boss to allow those mobs to be killed rapidly.
Precasting Prayer of Healing so that it hits just after
Collapsing World
expires and instantly following up with
Holy Word: Sanctify
can be very potent burst.
Notes:
This fight has a low overall HPS requirement but coordination is still extremely important
"Marry" tanks to healers so that the latter always will follow the former so that dps'ers know where to find the healers.
When healers, on mythic, are entering the Sentinax ensure that there is always one healer with each major group.
Constantly check in on other healers' locations so that the raid always knows where to find healers and to ensure no group is without one.
Notes:
DIspels are incredibly important. Ensure players are out of the raid when you dispel
Sleep Canister
but do so quickly. Tanks often will be clearing the
Stasis Trap
when crossing the bridge, dispel them immediately so they can clear another.
Divine Hymn
while awkward on this fight, can be used during
Blastwire
clears. This video's strategy involved many
Blastwire
being detonated close together while the raid grouped together and waited for the path to be cleared.
Make sure at least one healer is in range of players affected by
Empowered Pulse Grenade
when crossing the bridge
Priest Healers are not spectacular on healing across the bridge, allow more suitable healers like Druids to use cooldowns and large amounts of their mana while healing on the bridge while other healers focus on platform healing.
Notes:
Stay close to the inner ring of the boss so that you are basically touching him. This will allow you to dodge MOST
Diabolic Bomb
s that appear on the encounter.
While difficult, it can be extremly strong to precast PoH and follow it up with a
Holy Word: Sanctify
for when multiple
Diabolic Bomb
will detonate close together. Watch your timers for when the next bombs will spawn and time your PoH for when the bombs move towards the tanks on the opposite side of the room
Avoid the lanterns created by
Reverberating Strike
, grouping most of the raid in between spawned lanterns will help avoid Bombs and make it easier for raid members to stack or spread for Annihilator mechanics depending on your kill order
Divine Hymn
can be excellent to use when your raid merges together again near the end of the Initialization phase, just watch your positioning.
Notes:
With no shields its extremely important to top off targets before they receive
Misery
in order to keep them alive.
Necrotic Embrace
can deal quite a bit of damage. Focus healing targets affected by the debuff because they will receive
Misery
when it expires.
DIsc is highly recommended for this fight on Mythic difficulty
Notes:
Focus healing targets with
Fulminating Pulse
and
Chilled Blood
. Spread healers so that both sides will be covered constantly over the course of the fight.
Use
Shining Force
to knock back
Spectral Army of Norgannon
and clear a path for your team if needed.
Storm of Darkness
and
Orb of Frost
are strong times to get big
Divine Hymn
s. Although positioning with Storms can be difficult for your Hymn. Coordinate with other healers on when you will utilize raid cooldowns so they do not overlap.
Stay in safe zones during storm, run out your
Fulminating Pulse
as late as possible so it does not hit other players.
Notes:
On mythic, two different groups will split
Flame Rend
damage. Pre-cast PoH so that it hits just after the
Flame Rend
hits the group is excellent for rapidly topping off groups
Use
Shining Force
to knock back
Blazing Eruption
and keep adds from walking into the boss, or help an add move into the boss.
The intermission is the standard time to use
Divine Hymn
but keep in mind other players raid cooldowns and how Meteors can interrupt your channel. Consider delaying until after the intermission on Mythic
Stay spread to avoid
Scorching Blaze
or
Ravenous Blaze
on Mythic difficulty from splashing onto other players.
On a first kill, it can be helpful to use
Binding Heal
to better pace out your mana.
Notes:
Focus on topping off your raid from
Tortured Rage
, mana will not be an issue later in the fight so keep in mind how aggressive you can be with your mana .
Haste/Versatility buff is superior for dealing more damage, an important factor when progressing on Mythic. Mastery/Crit if going for higher HPS.
Prepare for
Soulbomb
and
Soulburst
by watching debuff timers, you should have plenty of time to top off low health players before bursts expire. Rotate through raid cooldowns to ensure that there is no overlap and that Rage's and Soulbombs have strong cooldowns to cover them.
Stay stacked when possible in the final phase to make it easier on AOE healing. Mythic video available soon
Legendaries
Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus
and
Velen's Future Sight
are your most frequently used/highest performing legendaries.
X'anshi, Shroud of Archbishop Benedictus
is an exceptional safety net and strong to utilize on progression.
