Faceless Mask of the Long Night - Reduces Maximum Sanity by 50%.

The Importance of Gift of the TitansGift of the Titans

It has a 1 minute ICD and a high chance to proc when it's not on cooldown. Any kill, including critters, has a chance to proc Gift!

Gift of the Titans prevents Sanity Loss from all sources including passive drain, boss abilities and Burned Bridge void zones.

In addition, it's a large DPS increase due to the massive increase in Haste!

When to Use Gift of the Titans

Dwarven District - Large pull in the main area.
While not necessary, having the Haste buff to do a large pull will greatly decrease the amount of time this area takes.

Old Town

Having Gift of the Titans up will make this pull much safer as having a bad Split Personality or slow movement can easily drain a massive amount of Sanity.

Trade District

Required for most classes unless you want to lose a lot of Sanity. Agonizing Torment is cast every 5 seconds and you're going to want a Gift proc to protect you from this Sanity loss.

Mage Quarter

Especially useful for casters, so they can just plant and destroy the Boundless Corruption. Melee don't specifically need this Gift timer, but it helps to make it safer.

Horrific Vision of Stormwind RouteCathedral District

Pull to the front of the Cathedral including the 2 guards. Gift of the Titans will likely proc early on in this pull and you should have full cooldowns.

Clear the remaining area, finding which Buff Objective is active and defeating it.

Exit to the Dwarven District

Dwarven District

Defeat the 3 Brainwashed Gnomes outside the zone.

Mount up and create a large pull with Bloodlust/Heroism. Make sure you only pull what you can handle, but certain classes will be able to pull the entire zone in one pull. The only thing to watch out for is dying to the melee swings and the Leaps from the first Elite

Check for the Mine Buff Event near the entrance to the zone for a 10% damage buff.

Complete the remainder of the Objectives and proceed out in the direction of Old Town.

Old TownNote: Old Town is very dangerous. Take this area slow and don't overpull.

Once you enter, kill mobs until your Gift of the Titans procs, then pull Armsmaster Terenson.

Clear down the left hallway, making sure to kick Touch of the Abyss, all the way to Shaw.

Drop a Sanity Orb and defeat Shaw! Take the Portal back to the Cathedral Distract.

Trade District

Take the exit to the Trade District.

You want Gift of the Titans for the Inquisitor, so look at the cooldown of Gift of Titans and pull trash until it's about to come up, then immediately pull into the Inquisitor.

Clear the remainder of the Trash and the Slavemaster. I'd recommend playing the Slavemaster solo, as you're going to spend a lot of time unable to use any abilities.

Check the Bank for the Guild Bank Buff Mob which awards 10% Crit Chance.

Exit towards the Mage Quarter

Mage Quarter

Enter the Mage Quarter and head to the right defeating the 2x Burrowing pack.

Whenever you're low on Sanity, drop a Sanity Orb.

Your next pulls will be decided by your Gift of the Titans cooldown:

If Gift of the Titans is about to be up, you can head straight into the Boundless Corruption in the middle.
If you have some time before Gift of the Titans, take a left clearing the first Void Portal. Whenever Gift of the Titans comes up, attack the Boundless Corruption.
Navigate through the rest of the Mage Quarter clearing all the Void Portals and making sure to kick Void Buffet whenever possible.
Head up the tower dropping your final Sanity Orb before Magister Umbric. Due the Sanity Orb, you can afford to not kick his first set of Entropic Missiles. Entropic Missiles will drain a lot of Sanity unless kicked.

Just one little hint:

In Stormwind especially you can determine the "Poison" Potion by looking at the Body next to the first letter box in the far right corner from the start.

Infront of it is a letter with a potion next to it, that one is ALWAYS the poison.

You can also pull a pack to Alleria, kill it when the RP finishes, and proc Gift of the Titans to fight her. While this is not necessary for the classes with good DPS cooldowns, on the specs without it or melees, you can get a good junk of her health of with it.

Personally, i also see very little reason to do Dwarven District first, and with Bloodlust (aside of getting that bloodlust on cooldown). Dwarven District by design, even when not doing big pulls, is a very short zone to complete. At the same time, you have two of the safest elites/bosses to kill giving 400 additional Sanity. Doing it first and with lust simply means you're wasting a large junk of the 400 Sanity gained in there.

With high cloak levels the passive drain in the starting area, which includes the canals, is minimal. For classes that lack strong burst cooldowns, optimizing Bloodlust for the more difficult bosses (shaw/umbric), while spending more time running through the cannals, might be a more viable option overall. (something like get buff in starting zone, go to shaw+lust, go to trade district, go to mage quarter, finish with dwarven district, if necessary, wait for lust while looting chests)

One thing to add would be when are good times to eat a K'bab. The most interesting place in Stormwind is probably in the Dwarven District. When you are finished with the mines and explode them, run forward a bit and start eating it. The boss will spawn about 10 seconds after activating the detonator, so if you are clear from the area the first bombs land into, you can get a quick sanity boost that won't delay anything. You might also want to eat it, if you proc a Gift of the Titans after the boss of the area, as you probably take longer than 20 seconds to get to the next fight anyway, so why not use half of that time to get some free sanity back? Also for Stormwind the interesting part is, that the canals are always 6 sanity drain, with the rank 15 cloak, you can gain back 100 sanity while losing 12, which is a pretty good deal.

This ! I have read what I thought was everything that has been posted here on Wowhead and I do not recall ever seeing anything about these either. I have seen a tiny little blip about the mines somewhere but that's about it. It would be really great if there was a guide that was just about the things that aren't mentioned or "hidden" in each of the visions. It could also include tips and tricks for them as well as opposed to being a strategy guide or route information like everything that seems to have been created thus far. You could call it "Hidden secrets and tips/tricks of Horrific Visions". I'd volunteer to help write one but I don't know any of them hence the request.(And also I can't even figure out how to quote properly so I don't think a good guide writer I would make)

Ragdoll's didn't work to cancel Magister Umbric's Frozen Tempest. Did this method get nerfed, or do ragdolls just simply not count to cancel it?

Is there a list somewhere to expand on the "whole lot of other things" that can cancel the Frozen Tempest?

Are there certain madnesses that are ideal for 5 masking this? Kind of a moot point since we've been stuck with split personality for the last 3 stormwind weeks, but just curious if there is a certain combo I should be on the lookout for.

There are no tips on how to defeat her solo with all her abilities and just says to kill her that's why I came here!
