Giant eyeball that watches you even in your most private moments versus a thousand mouths?
Sounds like how parents describe children.

They both look like big-ass blobs to me, I was hoping for more of a humanoid look for Yogg-Saron... but nope lol.
It does pretty much set the precedent for any more OId Gods to come. They'll be big, somewhat scary looking, blob-like, and %^&*!es to kill.
On what one I think is cooler and/or scarier?
On the one side we have
Yogg-Saron
. I will admit, those eyes with teeth/spikes is really cool, and pretty friggin creepy. I prefer
this image
though. Looks more disgusting lol.
On the other hand, we have
C'Thun
.
I prefer C'Thun. I think he looks cooler (like that) and scarier. I mean seriously, he looks more like the Old God of Death like that than Yogg-Saron does. I DO NOT WANT A SPIKEY DOOM.
In saying that, I'd rather not die from either of them, thanks.

Why would an old god be humanoid?
Defeats the purpose no?

No, not really. A humanoid is just something that looks like a human, doesn't have to anatomically similar though.
It could be a humanoid avatar of the Old Gods, that and who is to say an Old God could not be a humanoid or even a human? This is Blizzard's lore, I just stated what I was kinda expecting.
I also don't believe Blizzard has stated anything about what they looked like, and if they all looked the same or even similar to one another.
And what purpose does it defeat, exactly? That they're meant to be Gods? I think killing a diety defeats that purpose.

They're not meant to be attractive, they're meant to be repulsive

And there are no repulsive looking humanoids out there? I could name a few, bet you could to.

I think he's talking about a Twin Emps type figure in relation to Yogg'Saron... which is this guy -

Just hasn't gotten much attention compared to the Twin Emps.

I meen, when he came out, you needed 40 people and a ton of devotion. When Yogg Came out, you only needed 25 people and make sure no one messes up.
Well this isn't reallty Yogg-Saron's fault as Blizzard said they didn't want anymore 40man raids.
C'thun lasted about 4 months IIRC, Yogg 14 hours.
Raiding in Vanilla WoW was harder then it currently is in WotLK, which doesn't really say much to the actual power of the Old Gods, but I see what you are getting at.
Now Im not saying these are wrong, just pointing out some things that have changed in raiding over the past years (and I am also kind of a lore nerd). But now there are also easy modes, hard modes, achievements and a lot of other things in raids that there wasn't back in Vanilla, instead of just needing to kill a strong boss. Some people might like the current raids, and some may have liked the old vanilla raiding. From my perspective Blizzard is still trying out new things to do with raids and we still have many more to look forward too.
