So, I've played a paladin 'till about level 35.
I must say this is an extremely boring class. All I did was watch myself fight a mob while throwing a judgement every 15 seconds. Could they have made it any more boring?
Will it be more interesting later on, or will it stay this way?

Go prot. It will be much more fun.

Perhaps pala's are just not for my playstyle. I just want to feel like I'm doing something, instead of watching a battle and doing something only when I get endangered(which does not happen often while leveling).
I'll just stick with the other melee classes, like my rogue and my warrior.
Thanks for the help, me mateys. Arrr, it'll be pirate day soon.

Warrior's not really that much better, from my current levelling experience. 31 Prot Warrior, and I'm basically just holding out for Revenge procs, and Thunder clapping every now and then.
Same deal with Paladins. It's what you go out and do with the character. If you're just single-target auto-attacking, then yeah, it'll be boring. If you spec Prot and try to farm multiple mobs at a time, you've got something different. See if you can consistently chain-pull mobs and keep moving. One target at a time is for rogues, and *that*'s boring.

QFT. I love being a prot pally....run around on a horse gathering up 10+ mobs, AoE killing them all in 15-20 seconds. Makes me a happy panda.
But if you really find it boring you could always try leveling on a pvp server (if youre not already on one) where you always have to watch your back =)

Go combat, spec for Blade Flurry and Adrenaline Rush, pull as many mobs as you want, hit Evasion if you're dropping a bit, and Vanish if you over estimated. I can kill 4-6 mobs my level (50) at the same time every 3 minutes (CD time on Adrenaline Rush). Fun stuffs.
Agreed. I'm having funz killing off 8 apes at once in Sholazaar Basin and then skinning them.

That'll change at higher levels, luckily enough. They're pretty fun and intensive at 80.
But, retri pala's are going to be fun at lvl 60, eh? Perhaps it's worth checking that out, after all.

Holy can be fun to while leveling up, almost impossible to die while leveling. And I can AoE grind just as good, got my Bloodsail Admiral title by doing pretty much nonstop AOE bruiser grinding, a druid also grinding faction said he was jealous of my DPS haha, was only 1200 but I guess that isnt bad for a Heroic geared Holy pally. Oh and being a holy pally in BGs is just LOL sometimes especially when your Flash of Lights are critting for 8k-10k

What class isn't boring at such a low level? Any class in that level range is just mind-numbingly monotonous. Frostbolt spamming, DoT and wait, auto-swinging... it's just part of only having a fraction of your abilities.
Paladins, in end-game and in PvP, do a LOT more than just your standard FCFS rotation as Ret. But then, most DPS classes do.

Keep trucking, Squishy. My Prot Warrior is probably my favorite-est of favorite characters, and I've only got him to 53. Get the Glyph of Revenge, grab a few mobs, and Shield Block; every Revenge, use Heroic Strike, otherwise Cleave... you'll just WRECK everything. It's a lot of fun later on.

Your an idiot then if that's all your doing. In either of the three trees the pally is a versatile class with handfuls of rotations. On top of this, we are a support class, so you'll never be only dpsing, you never be only healing, and you never be always tanking. You just don't know how to play the class.

TBH untill lvl 50 i found lvling a pally rather mind numbing (and i lvled a priest as disc so...). However once u start picking up moves like divine storm and crusader strike it does get better and at end game pallys are alot of fun (ive only done naxx, OS and heroics on my pala tho)

Honestly, ret pallies start being fun around 50 when you get CS. I leveled 1-70 as ret, then dual specced into prot. Honestly I'm not sure which I like more, but I usually solo as ret. Despite what most people say is better, I like questing more than grinding :P

When i started playing my paladin i couldn't wait to get to 55 for the DK, that's how boring it was. But then, you just kinda have to stick to it till outlands. Once you are there its easy to level to 60 and get divine storm, along with crusader strike at fifty, and with the changes to exorcism, my retribution paladin is one of my favorite class/spec combos of all time, (the other being frost dps dk).

Prot paladins are the same - it's just about what you do with the character, more than the character itself. A mage is pretty boring if you're levelling 'safely' - on the other hand, rushing into a group of melee and kiting them with Arcane Explosion...

Yeah, I gathered that much already - that's how my girlfriend and I cleared out Stockades recently (she's the Rogue, with the OP 600dmg ambush crits - how is it fair that she can do double my dps?). I've glyphed Revenge since I first could, and I just glyphed Cleave (since RAF is that much better when you AoE grind collection quests), though I'm thinking that cheaper Thunder Claps might have been a better idea...

Aye, I was too quick to judge. Got a lvl 60 hunter that needs to become 80 first, though. Then I'll see about me pally.

Or you can pull 10-20 mobs, use no cooldowns at all and just do repeat right away once you've looted. That's the difference.
