XBL vs WoW in bandwidth wars

kk i know some of you have this problem...
We are now coming up on Halo 3 release Day +7 and many of you who have put wow on hiatus are probably experiencing mild to severe withdrawal symptoms. However you may live with roommates sharing a measly 6mbps cable and cannot handle the 1000ms> latency while you're friends are rocking shotty snipers on valhalla. I'm not asking for a solution however for scientific purposes I want to know is there network monitoring software that allows me to compare the bandwidth between WoW versus Xbox Live? Specifically I want an user-friendly interface showing simple bars that monitors traffic from internet to router than to my computer playing wow and router to the 360 playing halo3. I've tried everything from ethereal to cisco network stuff but most of it is way over my practical knowledge to setup except only to be able to monitor traffic from my computer to internet and not the xbox's.

I've no idea if there is software for this, especially to moniter Xbox bandwidth as most programs would need to install a client-side app to track speed. Having said that, I don't have an xbox and haven't researched at all. Best bet IMO is to just track your latency/ping while running one or the other and comparing that way, as bandwidth use is not going to lag you as hard as high ping to the server.

I'm pretty sure an application can be run from your computer to determine network load. Since networking isn't my strong suit, that's about as much help as I can be :P
Now, in regards to latency, it sounds like something can be improved on, namely since games like Halo and WoW don't use all that much bandwidth. The latency issue might be elsewhere, such as in your router or modem. If you have a hub between your xbox/pc and your router, make sure it's actually a switch as they provide what effectively amounts to load balancing.
