Personally I would not include that in your spell power.
That said, I've run many under geared people thru many heroics, naxx, os, eye, etc. and after a while, you just get used to it. It is interesting that when I want to run my undergeared fury warrior or moderately geared elemental shammy that I often get the cold shoulder from the same formerly undergeared people whom I willingly took through a variety of places. It sometimes causes me to go dyslexic on the dps number just to get into pug spots.
Moral to the story... When in doubt, lie.

it would be lying imo, becuse your stats should be either UB or SB, not raid buffed or a potential figure.
In saying that the stats arent everything, I've seen full Valarious geared chars pulling crap DPS cause the player is slacking, or Ebayed, and medium geared guys blowing other DPS away through sheer knowledge of the class and best rotations.
so if you pull your weight and p;roduce, you can get away with lying i suppose, cause your performace will be what they remember in the end.

It wouldn't really be a lie but it wouldn't necessarily be the full truth. That trinket requires you to cast 10 spells in order to get the buff and, while you will get it relatively fast, you still don't have it immediately which is what your advertised stats should be based on. Here and now, not later after the fact.
If that were the case, I could advertise myself as having the benefits from both Expose Weakness and Master Tactician, which are both significant additions to my unbuffed stats. They are almost always up, but I don't have them while sitting there out of combat.

Feel free to include it in your "self buffed" stats. Leave it out of unbuffed.

Same reason I equip
Darkmoon Card: Illusion
while looking for a group and as soon as I get in the instance I swap it out for
Sundial of the Exiled
. To the casual "inspector" looking at pure stats the constant 100 SP looks better but mathematically the Sundial proc is better.
Just remember that if you are joining PUG groups, they are most likely checking out your armory page. So instead of equipping the Darkmoon Card: Illusion trinket when you join LFG, equip it every night when you log off, since armory is usually delayed a bit and it will probably show up on there. But then again, the guy who is checking out your armory probably won't criticize you for having Sundial equipped :)
Lol, you deleted the wrong quote tag. Goldish said that, not me.

Eh... I wouldn't, but if your gear is good enough to have this trinket, SP shouldn't matter.

Say that "my SP is xxxx before the procs from the trinket"

I don't whisper my gear-stats to random people. I usually just tell them that I'm good enough for whatever appears.
This one time, in green/blue gear, I went to a heroic. The tank got summoned, and being from one of those server awesome guilds, looked at my gear and said "You're healing me with that gear? No way.."
I persuaded him, we entered, and we rocked.
That is to say, me and the tank rocked. seems the DPS was totally clueless about how to click buttons.

Whenever someone asks me about my Spellpower or whatever I respond with "Effective or character sheet?"
Then give answers based on what they need. For example I have about 1900 spellpower on my character sheet, but I have the Illustration and Sundial. Sundial averages out to around 90ish spellpower, and the illustration is 200, so the effective spellpower would be about 2190 and thus would be the answer I give if someone asks for my effective (buffed) spellpower.
Though I sorta agree with Argent, unless you were really, really really lucky in a PuG (I know I was when I first got Illustration) then by the time you have that trinket it really shouldn't matter. =D

If your specs not messed up, then a mage with 1500 SP can pull 2k DPS so if ppl know what they're talking about you dont have to sound like you have lock stats, who do the same dmg with 2k SP..
Just play well, you wont have to lie ;)

If I ask/give stats, its the stats with nothing in my buffbar.
I had 4k+ AP as fury and now as arms, I don't tough 3.5k yet.
I can say as fury I have 40% crit but actualy thats with rampage activated. I give 35% unbuffed cause I don't see anything in my buffbar, I give 4k+AP I get from talents because thats what I have.
This again shows how importent it is to tell your spec. I prefer a 3.6k AP armswarrior over a 3.9k AP furywarrior.
