Dear Wowhead community :)
I recently build a new desktop, with my GPU a copy of Shadowlands was included
my question is if, as a totally new player would actually have fun playing the game from scratch. I'll have to learn every mechanic, feature, and general playstyle from scratch. I have little to none experience with mmo's except for 30 levels in classic wow (which to my knowledge is "basically" a different game compared to retail) and I played a little FFXI.
I enjoyed classic, even though the leveling and general peace was a bit too slow, but I think retail is a bit better paced.
If you have any videos, websites with guides or any other general tips and tricks that would help my experience feel better, I would highly appreciate that <3
Thanks in advance

Well, that's when I had the most fun. Shadowlands seems newbie-friendly, with level squish and new system, where you could ask the veterans any question regarding the game. Pick the right realm with decent community, and don't let the bad guys discourage you.

Yeah, retail is pretty quick when it comes to leveling. You will have to go through Battle for Azeroth leveling as your first toon anyways.

Well, here you are, buddy. Wowhead is like an encyclopedia of World of Warcraft - you'll find here everything you need. You can also find a YouTuber who talks about the game features, but I will not recommend any - pick the one that suits you, there are many popular people in the "industry".
