Great guide, one question--did you remember cats in your top 5 damage? I didnt think they were below corehounds and spirit beasts

Why do you say about birds of prey: "Overall this pet has its uses but I'd say only strictly for PvP?" Does snatch not work against mobs? Actually, I'm not sure what I would expect snatch to do against a beast. Do you know?
In the comment immediatly above you refer to "the folks at EJ." EJ=what?
You are still using apostrophes inappropriately throughout the guide. It is only used to designate possession, e.g., a bear's swipe ability, not plural (bears are arguably the best tanks).
This is a very useful guide. Thanks for all of the effort.

Ah, I just figured that out what EJ meant and was about to edit my comment. LOL
BTW, I'm in the mid 30s, so I'm another person using the guide who is thinking more about solo leveling my hunter than anything else.
An additional question: what do you think about what helvorst says about pets in the
Hunter Beginners/Leveling FAQ
? He also has a
talent build for tenacity pets
. You both seem to be pretty much in agreement, but perhaps you might see something that I don't.

Ahh, that makes a difference! I was assuming that claws, teeth, whatever, counted as weapons for snatch. I also had been under the mistaken impression (from the official game guide, I think) that cunning pets would be a middle ground between tenacity and ferocity pets. I noticed that now the guide at
www.worldofwarcraft.com
doesn't even mention the three pet families anymore.
Thanks for you answer as well as for the guide.
EDIT: People interested in leveling pets might want to look at
Scattered Shots: Pet talents for leveling
over at WoW Insider. It's a recent post I just found.
