Why does Blizzard hate world PvP?
Return to board index

Blizzard does everything in their power to make no one want to do world PvP. For example attacking a city is practically impossible because the endless guard spawns.... endless spawn is highly unrealistic, there are tons of players in the cities you don't need 100 guards spawning each second. Basically any form of World PvP which isn't a gank, is undoable. The only type of world PvP blizzard wants us to do is to gank, unless they screw that up too.
So my question is, why would Blizzard want endless guard spawns, and doing all these things to smaller towns to make it impossible to attack? And btw who cares if it ruins other peoples game experience, it adds more to the game other than lame instanced PvP.......

It's supposed to be difficult. The game would be boring if you raided a capital city and just pranced along like little red riding hood all the way to Thralls throneroom. Assemble a true raid group and it wont be so hard...now will it?

Maybe depends on the server you are on. I play on a pve/rp server and Capital cities are raided maybe 3 times a week. It just needs to be a bit organized.

It's true, I'd like to see more world pvp, but not like you're saying. Quest hubs should be protected, and players should feel like they have some safe spots to hang around.
Wintergrasp was supposed to be the big advancement of world pvp, but even that turned out to be more battleground-like. Especially when the next patch is bringing a 200 player limit and queueing.
What I want to see is a zone that's just for pvp, where you can come in whenever you want and kill people, without having to do objectives or worrying about winning the game. The only challenge is making it somehow rewarding, but not TOO rewarding where BG's will die down and everyone will be doing this instead.

I don't think he's referring to killing Thrall... just killing players.

Well he is talking about guard spawns is he not? Implicating the primary goal of raiding a capital city, killing the leader. If he wanted aforementioned players only he would be mentioning all areas...correct?

even with countless guard respawns you're allotted more than enough time to bust in, down the city leaders, all the guards and players in your way, and make your way out in 1 piece with a less than full raid and if for some reason you are in an enemy city solo there's no reason you should be trying to aoe the whole city at once while 1v1 or 1v2 is still very doable.
the point in your rediculous guard respawns is so if an enemy group/raid does infiltrate the city they'll eventually be rooted out by the game's own means if not sooner by other players.

What I took from the OP is that he'd like to work his way into Orgrimmar (or Ironforge, pick your faction), and pick fights with players. This can be hard to do, because you draw the attention of guards, severely tilting the odds in your enemy's favour.
