Seems like you're healing reactively. You can't do this as a druid. You have to predict the damage and have your hots before the big damage takes place. Once you have all your stacks of hots rolling, start precasting a regrowth, if it isn't needed, jump or press esc. You could do this with nourish as well, but lag may play an issue. (I usually have to jump about .4-6 seconds before cast is done to make sure I don't end up casting anyways due to lag)

Meow nailed it. It took me some heroics before I realized if you aren't over geared for the content and you don't have atleast 1-2 HoTs before the pull, you're going to play catch up for a while.
Typically, if I know the group is going to be taking damage too, I roll rejuv on the entire party, roll a single stack of Lifebloom, and then from there, hit them with a Wild growth for a burst of heals and keep the tank topped off with Nourish.
I really do need to get into the habit of using Regrowth more, but currently, between rolling rejuv and lifebloom, wild growth when needed and spamming Nourish, I can typically handle most pulls.
Only time I am doing more is in H ToC. That place can get REALLY tough if you have a melee heavy group and the rogue is in the group of bosses at the start. There again, roll rejuv and keep them up on everyone, stack lifebloom to a comfortable level, Wild growth almost constantly and nourish spam when nothing else needs refreshed. If the tank starts taking alot of heal, I will actually blow a Nature's Swiftness to get a regrowth up quicker and continue, and swiftmend when needed. If the melee is heavy and they are taking a ton of damage, rolling HoTs and Tranq is amazing.
Heck, if anyone has any other suggestions on how to handle group and heavy tank damage, I am always willing to listen. Druids needs really fast button clicking in more difficult situations and anything to be more efficient helps.
Lastly, do you use a healing add on? If not, that could also greatly speed up your healing.

What I do is the following:
1) As the tank is running in queue up Regrowth.
2) As soon as Regrowth casts hit Rejuv.
3) If it is a heavy damage fight I may hit lifebloom also. I very rarely ever stack it above 1.
4) Swiftmend, Nourish and WG your way to loot!
5) Reapply Regrowth and Rejuv as needed.
Rememeber in those oh crap situations, you can still use Nourish even if the tank has no HoTs. Yes... it isn't as strong, but it is a fast direct heal. Cast a couple nourishes to get into a safer zone then rejuv+swiftmend, then reapply HoTs.
I have found this method to work amazingly for me, and I come out of most fights with close to full mana still.
Edit: Not sure why my sig is not updated, but here is my Armory if you are curious...

The dragons in UK hc hit very hard, and with only one dps (the tank) Im definetly see how healing in there can be hard. I was at 1800sp/halv epic when a fresh 80 in my guild tanked UK hc for us, I think I used every cd etc in the dragon pens.

This is some great info and has helped me clear us some stuff big time, I am a little tree (more a branch ) and I was told I get to heal TOC this weekend..over and over and over (I need the eq and practice) since I only have 1200 sp 44 hit 10% crit and 397 regen.
So my question is swiftmend and nourish which for what?
I basically keep Rejuv and regrowth the tank and hit nourish every once in a while. Yep I have grid and clique. I do see spikes and some times the tank will hit 50% a nourish with these ticking on him and he is 100% in just a few seconds. After reading that LB was dead now I never even thought of using it.
ps I have glyph of rejuv, wildgrowth and swiftmend...what about glyph of nourish and drop the wg that I almost never use?
could anyone share their thoughts about using clique and spell placement? I am using &*!@ left and right for rejuv and regrowth ctl left and right for swiftment and nourish. alt left and right OH CRAP and wildgrowth.

Don't use the rejuvenation glyph, it's only good if the tank has less then 50% hp, which he with a druid healer should not ever have if hots are appliced correctly. LB or Nourish are much better glyphs.
Are u using WG glyph for 5mans? It's only "good" in raids imo =)
I use LB, Swiftmend and.. hm, can't remember what my last one is.

Um... is it just me or is your druid tank/pve geared w/ 22k health and 6k mana? Druid @ bottom of sig...
And im really new to healing (level 65 only =( ) but i've found that you can cast LB, then a regrowth for the burst attacks as all the mobs' fire is coordinated, another lb to keep it rolling, then a rejuve to destroy the free fire, then another LB and im set. But thats imo and i haven't healed past Bogs =D

I recently started healing again on my druid (the only healer i find fun to play), he just hit 80.
Took a couple items off the AH, and went into ToC normal.
I used to raid (SSC/TK both cleared) on that toon in TBC, and i must say that i'm amazed from the addition of Nourish.
Keep all hots, and use Nourish as needed, simple as that :)
Another thing to remember, when healing (and this is a common mistake most people do) go all out.
Dps go all out, tank does aswell, you should do the same.
If the situation requires, dont be afraid to cast like crazy. Having 7k or 2k mana left, when the fight is over, doesnt make any difference. But if your tank / other people dies, there yes will be a difference.

(tranquility has a long cd, so it doesn't count). Properly specced (which i assume any healer is) you can sneak a 4 min cd and no threat out of it. And WG can delete some light AoE/small threat jobs.
