There are several. The two that come to mind right off are Cartographer and Metamap. If you're new to the game, I'd suggest using Lightheaded, a mod that attaches comments and coords (the numbers) to your quests. Along with it, add Tomtom which makes linking from those comments onto your map easier and also gives you a waypoint to follow. Last, I'd download Doublewide, a mod that makes your quest log larger and easier to read.

You don't need Tomtom if you have Cartographer. Unless I have a plugin for Cart that I don't know about :P

Tomtom is not the same as Cartographer, I use both. Tomtom is a addon to Lightheaded and by the same creator, it's an afterthought. I'm not sure why Tomtom has not been added to the current Lightheaded build, but it still isn't.
To be clear: Tomtom does ad coordinates to the bottom of the main map, this is something I disable
because
I use Cartographer. What Cartographer will
not
do is automatically add a coordinate from Lightheaded onto your map from your questlog.
What bwirum is trying to explain is that Cartographer will show you coordinates, will make a waypoint (the crazy taxi style arrow that points you toward your objective), and make a "dot" on your minimap.
But
, the benefit of using Tomtom is that you do not have to manually enter the (xx.x, yy.y) into the map system. You, instead, just 'click' the from within Lightheaded and it's all done for you.
No, you don't
need
Tomtom, but it
is
faster than manually entering coordinates into Cartographer or Metamap.

For world map coordinates and a number of other functions via its addons you can use
Cartographer
(
download here
) and for minimap coordinates (as well as other neat formatting options,)
simpleMinimap
(
download here
).
Also you can simply use the
Wowhead Looter
addon, which has easy
chat commands
which allow you to display coordinates on the world map and also can broadcast your current location to your chatlog.

My point was just that, that I don't have Tomtom, only Cartographer, and I can still click links from Lightheaded and make them wp's.

Yeah, cartographer works the same way for me too. I think you have to tweak around with the settings, though. Can't remember what I did previously. :)

Ok, I'm trying to figure this out in game with Cartographer and Lightheaded and NO Tomtom. I can't seem to find a setting that will allow the ~Direct Linking~ from Lightheaded coord onto the Main Map, Mini-Map, and Waypoint Arrow. The coords are there, but they are no longer blue in color and no longer clickable.
Can one or both of you give a step by step as to how to adjust Cartographer to do exactly what Tomtom does, I'm always game for eliminating redundancy.
