Specs will never be balanced until there's only 1 spec............
That would depend on your definition of balanced. No they won't do the exact same amount of damage, but if they are close I'd say its good enough, you can't really expect anything more. And that is how MM and SV are now. They are close, yet still different.
Gear is special and all, and with 100% ArP (haven't done myself yet, but I hear) is really crazy for MM, but you really need to look around and see who the other 9/24 people in your raid are, as well as what you are fighting. That is what will get you the most DPS.Unless I'm needed to provide an important raid buff, I'm going with whatever spec cranks out the most DPS. Nothing complicated involved in it.
Thats what he's saying. If the raid has plenty of replenishment but no 10% AP, MM might do better then SV (for your dps). If the raid has 10% AP but no replenshment, SV might do better. Also, there is a difference between personal dps and raid dps. Keep in mind that raid dps is more important then personal. An example can be seen in dps warriors. Sure arms might do better dps, but what's more important, a few hundred dps for the player or
5% physical damage crit chance for the raid? Maybe the dps is overall better, but don't just assume higher personal dps is the best way to go.
Finally, I'd say the only way to know if you will get better personal dps from MM is to use a spreadsheet (to answer the original question).
No offense, but you guys keep telling me stuff that i already know.
I'm well aware of what i need to do for my raid, and 95% of the time it's be in whatever spec cranks out the most DPS.
