When Sargeras is rezzed, where does Kil'Jaeden stand?

I was just thinking, KJ has kinda just pooh-poohed Sargeras and pretty much said "Well the Burning Legion is all mine now". Of course, Sargeras did appoint him as the leader, but I'm thinking maybe KJ has taken it too far. He even slagged Sargeras off in Sunwell Plateau.
The best case scenario is Sargeras wakes up and says "KJ's doing a good job, I'll let him keep doing his thing, and just join in on the fun". Although personally I don't see that happening because, let's face it, the Burning Legion isn't
really
doing a great job at the moment. Illidan defected (and then died), Kael'Thas is dead, Gul'dan has been dead for a while now, and with Mannoroth gone, the orcs are doing their own thing now. Kil'Jaeden even seems kinda
worried
about the Lich King (although I'd still back KJ in a 1 on 1).
And then, if Sargeras and Kil'Jaeden do go against each other, what will happen? KJ wouldn't stand a chance against Sargeras 1 on 1, but he does have the military nous from running the Burning Legion for tens of thousands of years. Would the Legion stand by him, or would they go running back to Sargeras? Most likely, I think they would divide, with a lot of the newer (and generally more elite) members staying with KJ, while the eredar, Nathrezim and the other "originals" would return to Sargeras. If Kil'Jaeden had the entire Burning Legion on his side, I think he could do it, but otherwise... :/
EDIT: Bad grammar

Well, bear in mind Archimonde is dead.
I doubt he would be too *!@#ed off at Kil'jaeden, because even if KJ did a crap job of trying to conquer Azeroth, he still held the Burning Legion together until Sargeras' return.

But would he relent control of it?

But would he relent control of it?
Absolutely, in that he would have no choice. If he tried to keep the Legion under his command, Sargeras would just wipe him from existence.
Sargeras is the master of the Legion, Kil'jaeden is his lieutenant and the head general. That's the way it will be until one of them dies. If Sargeras is completely destroyed, it's likely that Kil'jaeden will take over completely, if it's the other way around, we'll probably see Mephistroth or some other big baddie in the "Top General" spot.

Uhuh, I understand that Sargeras is much more powerful than Kil'Jaeden, and basically anyone else in existence. My question in the OP though, was were KJ to go against Sargeras:
a) whose side would the Legion take?
b) given KJ's military prowess, could he take Sargeras if he still had the Legion at his command?

No way, this is a creature that commanded the obidience of demons with his very presence. Kil'jaeden is just in charge because Sargeras but him there. Sargeras would have no difficulty completely wiping out planets on his own, he just needs the Legion to herald the way for him and summon him in.

Sargeras is the leader of the Burning Legion. Kil'jaeden and Archimonde were left in control as a regent type role after the whole incident with Medivh. Archimonde died less than ten years ago, so I doubt Kil'jaeden has done enough in the last 5 or so years to consolidate power enough to act as a challenge to Sargeras.

B) Kil'jaeden isn't the military mastermind, that was Archimonde and the Pitlords. Kil'jaeden is a spymaster/information gatherer/corrupter, he'd rather work behind the scenes then out in the open. When Sargeras comes back, he'll bow to his master and step up to his side, serving as his right hand man again.

I would love to see him try and take control of the Legion, ending up in a civil war (Much like that with the Scourge) and eventually he becames a (Somewhat) friendly faction, along with a few demons and Eredar (Draeni Warlocks, here we come) to help us fight, but then he turns on us like Varimathas, and we get to kill him.

This would be quite funny, especially considering how some people thought Sylvanas was stupid for falling for a Dreadlord's tricks.

Not really stupid, she just overestimated how scared he was of being stomped into the ground by her.

So he beats Sargeras? Because if you lose to the Lord of the Legion..... you die. Painfully. In many pieces. Think of what Kil'jaeden did to Ner'zhul, now magnify that by a million for Sargeras.

No, he runs away with a bunch of demons as his own faction, and we get to do faction with him, then he betrays us (Possibly he thought it would get him back in with his master) and we stomp in for 13w75!

Because, the Draenei to the contray, you don't run from the Lord of the Legion, espically when it's Sargeras and Kil'jaeden.

He's really only their because he was promised power, if he felt Sargeras was going to stomp on him because he had gotten too comfortable leading the legion, I have not doubts the deceiver would hightail it to the other side of the Nether.

Kil'jaeden in World of Warcraft
Kil'jaeden as he appears in World of Warcraft.
Main article: Kil'jaeden (tactics)
Kil'jaeden finally made his World of Warcraft appearance with the release of the Sunwell Plateau, the 25-man raid introduced in patch 2.4.0. He appears as a combination of man'ari eredar and the winged, horned daemon appearance as seen in the manual to Warcraft II.
Kil'jaeden's necklace, which becomes his "corpse", at the end of the fight.
Kil'jaeden as depicted on the walls of the Magisters' Terrace
Players face off against Kil'jaeden himself, who is still being summoned into Azeroth through the Sunwell itself by his new lieutenant, Kael'thas Sunstrider. Anveena, the embodiment of the Sunwell's energies, is held in an arcane barrier, her powers being drained to feed the portal, but later in the encounter she is sacrificed to weaken the Deceiver, who can then successfully be banished back into the Nether.
Defeat
It can be noted that, at the end of the fight, Kil'jaeden does not die. Instead the magics of the Sunwell simply react against him, and he is pulled back through it and into the Twisting Nether. It is his very large necklace that rips off and lands on the surface of the Sunwell after he sinks in that is looted by players.
No he isn't.

When Kil'Jaeden dies, World of Warcraft dies, IMO.

You know, I used to think the same thing... but there are a ton of other antagonists out there that could easily fill the place of Kil'jaeden in the Legion; and if the Legion goes under, there's a large list of threats that could take it's place at the top spot on the baddies list.
Now I think of it more as: If Sargeras, Kil'jaeden, and the Legion are wiped out, it ends
this chapter
of Warcraft.
I'd love to see the Old Gods brought in as the main threat of the Warcraft Universe. And if not that, then it could become something like a true Faction vs. Faction thing. Races would come and go, some would turncoat, some would remain loyal, and all the while there's constant conflict... it could make for a really interesting story if there wasn't a single obvious threat that
everyone
had to deal with.
