And trying to get Item X from the AH because it's an upgrade to whatever crappy Item I have currently... And it looks cooler...
Don't do that.

Reparing your armour should be a trivial amount of money to what you should have. You can get decent armour as quest rewards, so don't go buying it at the AH. If your paladin is your only character then you won't be getting Cold Weather flying until lvl 77. A Tankdin is a decent leveling spec, so there's no bother to get dual spec until you're lvl 80.

- don't ever buy gear from AH, get it from quests (when I entered outlands with my last alt I still had few lvl35-40 items, managed fine)
- leave proffesions for later or only pick up gathering proffesions
- dualspec isn't needed for lvling, don't learn it until lvl80 (with most hybrid classes you can level while still being useful in dungeon (prot warrior/pala, ele shamy...)
- sell everything that drops, I never leave unlooted corpses, I rather go to vendor empty my bags)
with all this you shouldn't have any problems with buying mounts at lvl20, 40, 60 and 77. when I hit lvl68 on my rogue, I already had around 800g so I only needed 200 from my main to buy myself cold weather tome.

Thanks for the Info everyone I'm still open to everyone's opinion and It's nice to get so many quick responses =D
From what I can tell the fast and easy way to get money quick is to do Quests, Dungeons, and loot everything dry (basically what I was doing before I reached lv 20)
And I should get Cold weather flying first, Then Epic flying, Then Dual spec... ok I think I have a good Idea on what to save up on....
No get Cold Weather first, then Dual Spec, then Epic Flying. CWF is a must in NR, Dual Spec is really nice at 80, especially if you are a hybrid, makes dungeons +100% easier to go to. Epic flying is great (now that I have the other two its what I am saving up for), but it is not a necessity.

Other JC's may bhate me for this, but oh well....
Even if you aren't a big PvPer, do all the WG quests you can every week once you're the right level. Use the shards to buy the honor tokens (if you don't want the PvP heirlooms and mammoth, of course), and use the honor to buy Epic Gems. You can either save them for when you're gearing up (saving you money) or sell em (making you money). The WG tokens for winning or losing can also be exchanged for honor tokens, if you're not PvP gearing.
I've made quite a healthy profit, since I already have all the Non-VoA gear I want, the mammoth, and the heirlooms I wanted for my priesty alt.

One of these days, I should try to write something like this in a guide format, seeing as how most of my posts end up in the TL;DR file anyway, but here goes.
Warcrafting on a Budget
As stated several times above, don't ever buy gear from the AH! Unless you already have a ton of gold, this is the worst thing you can do. Quest rewards and instance drops will give you everything you need to be able to advance your level in a normal time frame. Im sure you noticed that as soon as you hit the Outlands, most of your Old World gear was probably replaced from the quests in Hellfire alone. the same thing will happen (although not as dramaticly), as soon as you hit Northrend. As you progress through NR, there will be several quest chains that will reward you with some very nice blues. The necks from the Drakkari quests and the weps from the Ampitheater come to mind.
Pick up a gathering profession; Mining, Herbalism, or Skining. You can either choose to have 2 gathering proffesions, or combine 1 of them with its crafting partner. BUT, only level your crafting profession with whatever you cant sell, or wait until you have a decent bank account going to do it. A few of the materials that you gather in Old World and Outlands can be worth quite a bit of gold on most servers, and most of the other stuff you gather will sell for at least a decent price. Just be competitive in the AH, and whatever doesnt sell, either use it to level your proffesion, or vendor it off.
Make sure you have enough bag space to collect everything that drops. All that grey vendor trash can really add up over a day of questing. Get an addon like AutoProfit X to make selling it easier.
When choosing a quest reward, if there is not a good upgrade to your gear avaliable, always lok at the vendor price of all the options. Sometimes there is a 5g or more difference between the vendor prices of the rewards.
Unless it is what makes the game enjoyable for you, forget about what "looks good", vanity pets, haircuts, ect. All this stuff is just "fluff" that is added to the game. You will have plenty of time later on to get that stuff when gold is super easy to come by.
As stated above, Cold Weather Flying should be your first priority. Flying in NR not only speeds up the last few levels to 80, it is required to do many of the higher level quests, unless you want to use one of the "rental" mounts.
Once you get to the point of needing to start gemming and enchanting, always look for the cheaper gems and chants. A Runed Bloodstone is usually only a few gold at worst, or even likely free if you know a JC, while a Runed Cardinal Ruby will set you back 150-200g on most servers. There is no need to spend the gold on an Epic gem for gear you are going to replace in a matter of days, if not hours. Not to mention, the +9 SP difference between the two is not going to be the difference in ant fight at that level. Don't, however, decide not to gem your gear at all, as that is considered a sure sign to others that you do not care about your stats, and may make getting a group difficult.
OK, sorry for the wall'o'text. If this is something that you think may help others, leave some feedback, and i will try to rewrite it into a guide. And I know this is old news for many of us, so feel free to TL;DR it and move along as well. Hope this helps someone.
