The games are so short these days that no one does those little side things. They don't award honor, and usually prolong the game. I think they were only popular in classic WoW. People tell me the games would go all day, so you had time to summon the big guy, air strikes and pikemen/wolfriders. But in BC it was the same as now: Get all the towers and kill the boss before the other side does.

As many of the people who played Vanilla wow remember games of AV didn't end in hours, but in days. I read somewhere and it was really true. "You can start an AV then exit and go to work and when you're back home you can still go and play the same AV"

Something i just remembered were those Snowballs that had a knockback effect :D Damn that was really fun especially on the bridges :D

It was better in TBC. Horde actually used IB choke point.
Now av simply means run past opposing side to enemy base. May as well be a pve thing.
