What professions are the most benificial for a pvp moonkin? I'm thinking that engineering looks like the clear winner with the goggles and other fun oddities (mwahaha @ the net gun).
Any other opinions? Is leatherworking really that usefull if I'm not going to have access to high end raiding recipies?

Engineering is the winner, by far.

if you're going to be raiding as a moonkin druid
then i suggest you go leatherworking and get your windhawk armor

Enchanting for the spell damage on rings, alchemy for the +40% mana from potions, and leatherworking or tailoring for the different sets, engineering for the googles.
Depends on where you stand in the game : if you're raiding in SSC/TK or higher, the crafting bop items will be useless, leaving only enchanting and maybe alchemy (mana problems being reduced).
If you don't raid or just start raiding, the crafting professions have very good items.

Enchanting is hands down the best profession, especially since druids can get good use out of all of the ring enchants depending on what you're doing at the time.
Same thing holds true for the BoP jewelcrafting gems and trinkets though, and many of the other profession 'rewards'. But for PvP the range of options you get from Engineering is hard to beat.
I'm not really sure if LW or Engy is worth it in the long run, there are upgrades from Windhawk and the Engy goggles. Gyrocopter is supersexy though.
Yeah, but then there is the next expansion and the associated BoP gear to think about, if the profession choice is intended to be permanent. And you also get things like the Drums of Panic from LW, which are a very useful PvP extra since it's a short-range aoe fear/interrupt, and unlike the trinkets from Engineering or Jewelcrafting they're on-use items which reside in your backpack...
I'd say take your pick of Engineering or LW/Skinning or Alchemy for the trinket, in that order.

From a PvE perspective, the ring enchants are clearly better than the BoP gems based solely on the fact that the gems are unique-equipped and the difference between them and other gems aren't that big. There are no equivalents to ring enchants; either you have them or you don't.
JC trinkets are nice, but again, from a PvE perspective (and to a lesser extent, a PvP perspective) there are better trinkets out there to be had.
It's a fair point ;) But all the BoP crafted gear is like that, no matter what profession... eventually it gets superceded by raid or PvP rewards. It's the little things like Drums that stay useful. Still the gear is good at the point where you need it, and it definitely helps you along if you're joining a guild which is in Zul'Aman while you're still standing in blues.
