You can learn it at level 5. If alliance you have to go to Exodar to learn it. It's the only alliance city that has a trainer.
Horde you can learn in Silvermooncity.
There are trainers in Shatrah and Northend as well but only for the higher level of JC

Level to 80 and then worry about making extra money. Just by questing to 80 you will make 10,000 Gold easily. The trick is not to blow it all along the way. Most people will have an eipc flier (1000G(normal Flying)+5000G(epic Fyling)+1000G(Northrend Fyling)) and 3000Gold cash, by level 80. After that;
JewelCrafting -
by far the biggest money maker
, since it has been added. WoLk brought a day quest that could net JCs an easy
1K Gold per day by selling Token>>Dragon Eye
. Heck it is
still worth 250Gold
a day even this late in the x-pak.
Herb/Mining - Lotus and titanium are easy to get and sell for massive money.
Rest of them are pretty poor, except right after an x-pak
.
1) LMAO. Every professions can make just as much money as others. You just need to know how.
2) Tell me how by selling something 250g once per day allow you to make 1k gold per day with the said thing? Also, on most servers, they only worth 90g by now.
3) I bet you only have a JC and/or never knew how to make gold with other profession. Your lack of skill/experience do not equal facts. So do not give advice based on that.
@omg4lifer: I have every professions maxed out. I can tell you by experience they all can make the about the same amount of money. Gatherings being at the very bottom (you will make the worst gold/hour with em) while crafting are all within a ~10% margin of each others. Read my
Guide
about it.

i agree with wildhorn every profession has potential you just need to tap into the right part of the market.
my main has jewelcrafting yet he has trouble making money with epic gems why dunno
happend alot buying epic mats for 4K around weekends and selling during week and even then its hard to get break even. server is high pop and alot of people have Jc so thats the problem
do note it will still depend from server to server
no sane JC will trade his tokens for dargon eyes to sell untill you got most patterns(which equals a crapload of tokens)

1) Dont call "PROVENT FACT" without links. Also, if for you the only way to make money with a profession is to craft epics, no wonder you do not make money with them. My guide is what most crafted make to make money. By your answer I figure out you know nothing of the goblin way and this is probably why you are unable to make money. You really should read Greedy Goblin... it would help you alot. 100x 1g profit > 15x 5g profit darling.
2) Fine, I "missread" your text, even if it was not clear. And like i said, your server must be short on JC, because on most servers they only go for ~100g. Also, you brag the dailies granting 1k gold back in time and ask what other prof was offering it... Answer is none, most of them had crafted/gathered stuff that was selling for almost that much without being binded to a daily (500g per artic fur lol)
3) Seriously... if you think gathering grant the most gold/hour... i wont discourage you to continue to think that... us, goblin need your kind of people to supply our industries.

1) Did you read what I said? You argue about something I said was the bad way to make money.
Also, you said "Crafting turn crud" and said it was a fact. Then when i ask you to prove it, you change it to "epic crafted wont be better than raid". Epic crafted are not the whole profession. It is like saying "Chicken is not edible" then I ask you to prove it and you change it to "Feathers are not edible".
Also, 100x1 take 5 minutes (3sec per craft) not hours. So about 15mins to make 300g (assuming just a 1g profit, most of time it is more). Which already beat gathering 200-300g/hour.
3) Read point 1.

So here's a question...since one can only have two active, which two complement each other the best? I'm currently a lvl 66 rogue and have focused on questing and kept up my lockpicking quite well, but my profs are enchanting and engineering right now. Does it even make sense to have those together? It's fun to level up the professions when I dedicate time to it, but I'm not too concerned with money making at this point from professions since they're far from maxed out, though I've been able to sell Mechanical Squirrels for 15g each like hot cakes on my server.
