You can only compare two hunters in the same raid.
Not agree.
1 hunter can have
Improved hunter mark
+
hunter mark glyph
+
TSA
and the other not.
Both (all ranged and melee in raid) will gain the AP bonus but the second hunter will have other talents and other glyph that can bost his own dps.
Spec a build for the raid benefit will make your personal dps not shine.

Well in that case he's taking one for the team and he should expect his dps to not be as amazing as someone specced purely for dps. This, however, is where the skill comes into play. I've seen IMH / TSA specced hunters out dps hunters specced purely for dps, so the margin isn't going to be terrible.

Well, I'm with you there, fight length is always a major factor, but dont forget, a MM hunter gemming agi/ hit isnt always the best. As EJ's have said, the best hunters should have 45% arpen with a runestone in their trinket slots. Get those and you can probably do 6k sustained dps, i know i can in my gear.

It's actually very strong, survival hunters are very weak when it comes to heroism, which is when most hardmodes really need the dps to... dps. MM can lay it down very strong, with 2 rapid fires if the boss needs that phase alone down, other wise just readiness at sub 20%. The thing is when you have the runestone + 45% arpen. you shot rotation becomes very simple, your gylphs become SrS hawk and SS. your rotation becomes CS AS SS SS SS SS, repeat. And it makes great synergy with low proc talents. If done right, you should see a net gain of about 300-500 dps.

Hi, I did 5.2k 1st time we down ignis 25. The other hunter ask me for TSA and the other time a DK asked me too, told them I'm not spec for it. We don't have a shammy/DK to buff AP. Will I respec for TSA? I'll post my armory later.

hi again... im using my iphone thats why i cant link things. anyhow, as to what im asking im using the same MM spec as you are tamal2004 but im using SS, AiS and SrS glyphs. i just respec last night, this is my armory and
spec
(w/ TSA now).
as i said in my previous post. a hunter(SV) asked for TSA. told him im not spec for it and later on a DK asked me too. w/c spec do you think i can do better dps? that one like tamal2004 or the one im spec now? we dont have a shammy/DK buff that dont stack w/ TSA. and on that ignis fight.. i have too move too. and we just downed ignis this week so its a long fight. and i was 2nd only to a very well geared lock on dps. critic on my armory and spec pls :)
i just played MM for more than a week now and as a true BM lover i didnt know i'm gonna have fun playing MM as well as i didnt know i'll enjoy SV. think i like MM more though LOL.
