What heal do you spam?

It seems to me that on the forums here and Elitistjerks, people are recommending Holy Light spam, as such suggesting Libram of Renewal for the reduced mana cost. I have tried this, and even with my 31k mana, I'm OOMing in just a few minutes spamming HL. As it stands, I spam FoL and Holy Shock 95% of the time, using HL just to keep Light's Grace up. As such, I use the Deadly Gladiator's Libram of Justice.
The other Holy Pally I do 25mans with FoL-spams as well. What do you other raiding healadins use? Am I retarded or something? Or is EJ?
Thanks in advance!

Ok....
By Holy light "spam" we dont mean to stand there and literally do nothing but spam HL.
keep
SS
and
Beacon
up on your healing assignment. (usually a tank)
Hit a
FoL
on them for the hot.
Then you heal other members of the raid with
HL
HS
or
FoL
based on incoming damage.
Certain phases (
Frozen Blows
,
Tantrum
.. etc. require the literal holy light spam.
In order to keep mana up, try to use
mana saving abilities
when these attacks are about to begin... and then use
Mana gaining abilities
during downtime.
Be sure to keep
your free haste
procced by judging
Light
or
Wisdom
You see... we aren't actually doing a real "HL spam"
You have many spells to keep ya goin and heal the raid... why would you limit yourself to just 1?

I don't think you really understood my question, I know how to heal.

What heal do you spam?
Answer: The most appropriate for the situation.
If you need throughput, then you spam Holy Light. If not, spam Flash of Light. If you need it NOW, hit Holy Shock. If you're raid healing, use FoL. If you're MT healing, use HL.
If you're FoL spamming and your tank isn't dying, then good job, move on. If you're FoL spamming and your tank is dying, then switch to something bigger, obviously. If you're HL spamming and you've got 80% overheals, then you can probably conserve a bit of mana by alternating your heals.
If you know how to heal, then why ask the question?

In most raid situations I spam Flash of Light.
BoL, SS and then some 60 seconds of Flash of Light spam.
But there are those ^&*!-happens moments where an instant HS helps a lot, and of course those oh-%^&*-really-happens moments of HL spamming.
And a lot of paladins cast a single HL every now and then just to keep the -0,5 cast time buff up. Im still getting into this.

No, by asking that you scream that you do not.

Answer- if you are raid healing, then 90% of the time you should be spamming FoL and using HS when its up, if you are Tank Healing id suggest the same percentage unless your simply just not keeping up with damage. Pally healing is cake if you can switch targets fast and think quickly.

im currently doing toc hm
first I use
(50 % mana reduce spell)
while i spam HL.
2nd i use
(the spell for 25% mana recoverly)
which brings me to 100% mana again.
3rd i use
hammer thingy to incresse my healing done by 20%
.
and then i use 2nd when its off cd...
- forgot the names of the skills, but a holydin should know which once I mean.
As a holydin doing HM encounters in ToC10/25 you should know the names of the skills as well.
Unless you're gemming for crit and using pieces with spirit on them -.-

im currently doing toc hm with my guildes and im doing holy light spam ..
i got about 28-30k mana fully buffed.
That's a relatively average/small mana pool for that gear level. I'm still in 219 gear and reach 28.5k buffed. Our main healadin has 34k which I have seen shoot to just under 40 with a greatness proc.

For the first time in my life I'll give someone the benefit of the doubt on the internet and say he's probably just incredibly right-brained (as opposed to left-brained, not wrong-brained) and looks at the pictures and not the text. I'm like that a little bit. I know what all the pictures of paladin spells do, but I have to admit I might not remember all of the names of the spells. (When writing my holy guide I had to look up the names of some of the spells I wrote about, actually, but the writing about what they do was all from memory of raiding) I also know both core healadin specs, but I definitely don't know the names of all of those talents, I just know the pictures.

Flash of Light.
I also use the Deadly Gladiator's Libram of Justice and plan to do an arena team just to get the Furious Gladiator's Libram of Justice. Sure, it's a very minor improvement of only 42 and I'm probably better off waiting for the next arena season so I can snag the Relentless Gladiator's Libram of Justice which improves FoL by 436 since I'm not a great PvPer. 700 rating is not hard to attain at all by my own fail standard.
My healing rotation is Beacon and SS the tank right before the pull and raid heal like a mofo. I always find myself dual tank healing when I'm not single tank/raid healing. Flash of Light spam while interweaving Holy Shock
alone
has always proved to be enough for healing every normal mode encounter thus far with the exception of Faction Champions. On the meters, the only class that can beat me that I've seen, guildwise and pugging, is a very well played resto shammy. I've only seen two that can do it thus far. I am also aware that meters don't mean jack, what does matter is "Are your assigned targets alive?" It does show, however, who is slacking and who is overhealing a lot more then they should.
When I see the need to Holy Light spam, which doesn't happen often to me, I swap in the Libram of Renewal in combat and go to town.
Even if you want to FoL spam all the time, you'll get enough spell power from your gear and enchants, you won't need to gem for it.

If you are there in 25m to look cool and top the meters beacon and fol will do it.
If you are assigned to MT in 10m (ToC / ToC HC) you will need to switch to holy light, cause 6k heals wont keep a tank up, it's not heroic UK. HS is for positioning, FoL is for the hot.
If you can learn to cancel casts, then you'll be a good paladin.
There is a precise reason why FoL hot doesnt stack, its not meant to be spammed as main heal.
And, if you (the raid) can pull it off with you FoLing as main heal in 10 man, you're so badly outgearing it that the other healers can cover that without even noticing.
Healing meters mean
nothing
.

I described my healing style and it works. We cleared 10 man ToC just fine doing mostly FoL and Holy Shock. I only use Holy Light in more dire situations and I have a track record of almost never losing my tanks. Just because maybe you can't pull it off, or maybe just believe that it doesn't work, doesn't mean that is true for all players. It works, I do it, and I have almost all my mana to spare in case another healer dies and I need to pick up more slack.

nothing

.... to someone who is not an officer, no. It shows me who is slacking, which I've already stated.
Edit: I guess it helps to read all of your post :-P
As for over gearing, here is my character.
http://www.wowhead.com/?profile=us.azjol-nerub.kirsis
I just replaced the 219 iLV leggings with 245 and 213 iLV gloves with 232 two days ago. I had everything else there for the 10 man clear. I stack intellect and not spell power. Between the libram, food buffs and Flask of the Frostwyrm, FoL spam with HS injections has proved to be enough for me about 85% of the time. Again, I never said I don't use HL, my primary heals are FoL and HS. Just because there is a HoT from Flash doesn't suddenly make it a heal you don't use but once every 12 seconds. That's foolishness.
