What does Cataclysm offer for the non-raider?

I have tried to pick up WoW at least a few times during the Cataclysm era, losing interest rather quickly. Being a non-raider, it just doesn't seem like Cataclysm offers much at all. My question is, what is there for a non-raider to do during Cataclysm.

PvP is the opposite of PVE. Have you tried it? It's not for the faint of heart, IMO.
Like YJMark said, Cata has tons of stuff to do. They introduced archaeology, beautiful new zones, transmog, etc.

Cataclysm offers 5 great new zones to level in (well, 4 great new zones and Vashj'ir). All professions got a facelift and there are tons of things to do. There are the Molten Front and Tol Barad dailies for money making and progressing as well as tons of dungeons for you if you don't Raid. 4.3 added the HoT dungeons which are great for getting 378 gear.
Also, with the addition of the Raid Finder, you may want to reconsider your non-raider status. I was that way also, but Raid Finder freed me up to raid on my schedule.
Cheers.

Your statement would seem to indicate you played wow during other expansion packs, so tell me if this is indeed true what you did in game during those times; and there is your answer.

Seeing that you registered with Wowhead in 2009...I would assume you have participated in game play a few times since then.
If over the span of 3 years during those times you pickup Wow,
you haven't found what your looking for by now...not sure you will experience anything different at this time.
Perhaps the future expansion MoP will bring something fresh to the table.

As a wow fan, I will have to say that Cata offered the least amount of content at endgame than any other expansion.
At this point, I would say buy it just so you have enough time to get your characters ready for MOP.
MOP will be completely the opposite of Cata, and seems to have a ton of content coming focused on lvl 90 characters who don´t want to hardcore raid. There are scenarios which seem very cool, there is LFR for light-raiding, there are a TON of new endgame daily hubs that are very different from each other, especially the farming stuff. I am also just guessing that the devs heard a lot from cancelled accounts that there was nothing for solo players to do but run LFD heroics. My guess is that each patch will have a molton front style addition to the game.
