I'll take a shot at this, I may have understood the question.
Type in the macro just as you would when sending your chat message. For example:
/y I'm yelling on this line!
/s But this will only be in white "say" text.
/1 And this will show up in channel number "1", probably General channel.
/w WarHero44 It's no secret, this line will be whispered to WarHero44
After you type one or more lines like that in the macro pane, you can drag that macro icon out of there and onto one of your bars for easy use.

yes u can use them for spells. For example:
/Cast Frostbolt
/stopcast
/Cast Firebolt
/stopcast
Then you shoot a frostbolt, and right after that a firebolt. I hope you understand :) Good Luck

/stopcast isn't a valid command, but /stopcasting is. That particular example would not work for reasons Joh86 noted.
That example probably did help get the basic idea across, though, that you are indeed able to cast spells in macros by using either the /use, or the /cast command (the two are synonymous).
The official UI&Macro forum is a good place to find (usually) friendly help and useful guides.
edit: typo u!=y

I want to create a macro that reverses my char direction 180 and then casts a spell, can i do that and if so how?
I'm kinda macro dumb but I don't think Blizzard allows any macro commands to move your character. You can make a macro (or keybind) switching your camera angle as such, but your character will have to be moved by regular input.

ok thx, is there anyway i could rotate the camera yaw 180 and then "center" the char or something like that? idk maybe use the right-click function where it makes the char look in the direction ur camera is? I have no idea how to do any of this so any help is aprecciated.
