Warlocks and Mages have a lot in common we all know. But one thing they shouldnt have in common (imo) is the color of their fire spells. Chaos Bolt for Locks is green which it should be, gives it an Infernal-ish feel. But y not the other fire spells for locks? It would fit in nicely and ppl would be able to tell the difference between a pyroblast and soul fire wen its hurling down wsg. anyone else agree?

Warlocks have dominion over fire just like mages do. IMO, if two classes are casting fire spells they should be the same color. Fire is fire.

It is good you are coming to terms with your problems, now we can embrace it together.

A-A is for quiters!
But I agree, Warlocks are corrupted(ish) so they should have green(ish) flames (at least)

We all understand that BOTH Mages and Warlocks draw their power from demonic sources.

ruleofthumb
Despite mages and warlocks both using fire as a weapon. Mages tap into arcane arts to create their fire, therefore it looks more pure and like real fire.
Warlocks on the other hand, draw their power from demons and fel magics. The corrupted nature of this magic causes many things to become visually twisted. The fire they control should not be any different. I think that warlocks should get green fire to reflect the corrupted nature of the class.

Immolate, Conflagrate, Incinerate and Soul Fire are, well Fire spells. They stem from Ragnaros's "realm" as it were.
Chaos Bolt is the only real "Fel" spell used by Warlocks. They are not corrupted (necessarily), they bend demonic forces to their will. Talk to a Warlock trainer as another class, and the flavour text shows it.
Fel magic is not "corrupt", it is a magic school in and of itself.
Mages "tap into" Fire magics to cast Fire spells, Arcane magics to cast Arcane spells, and Water magics to cast Frost spells.
Warlocks "tap into" Fire magics to cast Fire spells, and other places for Shadow spells and Chaos Bolt. (Shadow is one of the least clear schools as to source).
The method of tapping into the magic differs, but the spell comes from the same place.

I thought that one of the lords of fire aligned with the Burning Legion, hence the annoying glow of Shadow Moon Valley. There is ONE "Lord" of fire on Azeroth (the source of all WoW-character's magic), Raggy.
Cyrukh the Firelord is probably just a local subcontractor, at best Raggy's Draenorian equivalent.
Fire is still fire.

Actually no, Mages tap into Arcane magic.Which can come from Nature, the Titans, the Twisting Nether and even the Moon Goddess herself.
Warlocks tap into Fel magic, which is Arcane under Demonic corruption.
To add a little detail - Arcane magic is known to corrupt the caster, veeeery slowly. It's not like the demonic Fel magic. You can be a mage and use arcane magic all your life, and the only thing you might feel is irritation if you are forced to do something without the use of magic, when you could have done it with it. Now, if you are Warlock who has been using Fel magic all his life...you are a big trouble. It's insanely addicting, it may affect your body and mind and is generally bad stuff.

Which is why we dont actually use Fel Magic all that much :P

WoWwiki
for more info.
The ultimate manifestation of the demonic arcane on Azeroth is fel (aka fel energy or fel magic). This energy, which most commonly manifests itself as ghastly, green-yellow flame, is arcane magic at its most corrupt, for it employs the blood of demons. Spells with the fel discriptor are very difficult to resist. Casting a fel spell is described by many spellcasters as a euphoric experience. If arcane magic is an addiction, fel magic is the embodiment of the drug in its purest form.
Having an innate association with demonology, warlocks have adopted a connection to the darkest fel energies. Through their understandings of demonology they are able to dominate certain agents of the Burning Legion, such as imps, voidwalkers, succubi, felhounds, and felguards, and through their enslave demon ability, doomguards, infernals, and gan'arg demons as well.
From WoWwiki
Having read this, you can conclude that Warlocks have a connection to fel magic, so their flames should be green. On the other hand, it doesn't state that the the fire spells used by warlocks are the results of 'taping into' fel magic. So this one depends on howmany people want it. I've read on
MMO-Champion
that Blizz knows about the demand, but they don't say anything about altering the spell effects (a clear 'yes' or 'no' I mean with that). My best guess is they are gonna make a minor glyph. Something like
this

Yep give locks their green fire via a minor glyph, the green fire files are (or at least used to be) in the mpq.
There were also blue versions there too, give mages blue fire via a glyph!
