I use that method all the time aswell, it can screw up some things though if a dpser starts doing damage while you charge boss, at what time you have no threat on boss and it's not in melee range with you either.
I usually pair it up with a taunt right after (on non-immune bosses ofc) to avoid this little "accident". However in that case it would be the dpsers fault, so if you like this method, go for it :D

What method are you talking about? In any encounter where you have to do some boss positioning the group generally gives you a few seconds to move the boss to where you want to tank it. You should charge anyways to get that initial rage. Unless someone offloads as soon as you engage the boss, it should be still on you when you pull it. I generally charge in followed by a shield slam to cement aggro, then move the boss where ever I need it. Only time you lose aggro is if your OT accidentally taunts or something.

Well generally heroic bosses don't need any positioning (or non that I can think of atm). Sarth in OS I generally just turn him facing right, and just tank him where he ends up. Naxx is a different issue, a lot of bosses require positioning. But by the time you are running Naxx, dps is generally good enough to give you a few seconds to move the boss where you want it. If all else fails and some noob starts too early, there's always taunt at 30 yard range.

Agreed. I use charge on all heroic 5 man bosses. If you have issues with DPS pulling while you charge, just charge, then shield slam. Instant 4k threat, 7k if it crits...or 0 if it misses =]

I use it all the time. Extra rage, plus it gives you a "head start" ahead of stampeding melee DPS who will most certainly be using their biggest hits right off the bat, plus the aforementioned positioning advantage. It's win/win/win. Lag can sometimes make it so that you have to wait 1 second before he's in range for your initial shield slam, but as mentioned a taunt after the charge works or just run towards the boss when he spins around after your charge. It ends up being a non-issue.

Agreed the extra rage is the only reason why I use charge
