Unusual PvP Ret Build: Dissect it?

My roommate has devised an unusual ret spec on his paladin alt that focuses on using
Seal of Righteousness
instead of Seal of Command or Seal of Vengence in Battlegrounds. He has not tried this in Arena yet. I'm not sure if the glyphs I listed are correct, with exception of the Glyph of Seal of Righteousness.

Edit: I know his spec is 7/11/53, but I can't view his actual talent tree from here. I know how he put his points in Holy and Prot, but I took a best guess at what he did for Ret. I know I left out talents like Eye for an Eye.
Here is his WoW-Heroes armory link.

I'm not sure how I feel about it. I was watching him run Wintergrasp and he was hitting people surprisingly hard and taking them down quickly. I don't say that he was hitting for 10k judgements (sarcasm) or the like, as I don't remember the numbers clearly. I think he was going for up-front burst, since it was a battleground. What do you guys think?

SoR is the PvP seal since SoB got killed.

I read the paladin forums fairly often and I never noticed that SoR was being used in PvP, I thought it was SoComm for normal PvP and SoV for arenas. I guess I was grossly misinformed.
What is the "cookie cutter" spec/glyphs for this?

M0ar deepees
or
M0ar 5tunz
Or anything in between them.
Glyphs:
Salvation
Judgment
Righteousness

Very close, but you need DS. You can't pvp without Divine Sacrifice as a ret paladin. It keeps you out of traps/poly/wyvern/blind/sap, and gives your healer a chance to stay alive a bit longer.

OP said BGs.
We're not talking about arenas.

Listing Arena specs is fine, it's just as valuable to me, even if I didn't state it. :)
I was always iffy about specing into Divine Sacrifice, but ignorance is the reason for it. And that ignorance stems from this question: Can you pop Divine Sacrifice WHILE CC'ed or only before you think you will be CC'ed? Or can you pop it while under only specific types of CC, such as Sap/Repentence or Hammer of Justice or Polymorph?

SoC is great for BG when you have three dudes staying really close together for you, and you have exp hard cap and 5% hit.
Otherwise the bust of SoR/JoR is outta sight dynomite.
SoC also doesnt proc off DS/HotR, SoR does. If it did, I'd use SoC everywhere all the time forever (except pve bosses)

The cleave from Command doesn't work with the two, however the the basic SoC proc continues to work with these skills on the targets (3 or 4 with glyph) it hits. You still cast CS first due to the short cooldown.
SoR is best for PvP because of the burst and SoC's Judgement is so weak, in addition usually people don't stand 5 yards close to one another.

My roommate is a veteran player, been around since vanilla WoW days and 40 man raids. While I don't know the day he started playing (like it matters), I do know his time played and achievement points. Last time I checked he had 8570 achievement points and had over 120 days of time played. That my friends, is dedication.
We play a game of checks and balances with each others toons all the time. I make sure his paladin isn't fail and I get advise on my mage. I had relatively weak gear (219 PvEs and a handful of Deadly Gladiator pieces) and was pulling much more DPS then my paladin's ret spec with better gear. I don't play ret enough to care about it, but when I saw the numbers he was pulling, he was obviously doing something right and much better then I was. I'll respec when I have more time to play, as I'm being held up assembling a new computer which will take me the better part of the day (Actual construction takes less then an hour, but I still have to install the OS, OC it properly, install all the other software and create an image of it for backups).
My only interest in PvP with my paladin is simply to get the Libram of Justice series. I'm waiting for 3.3 to dust off my PvP gear so I can go from
Deadly Gladiator's Libram of Justice
to
Relentless Gladiator's Libram of Justice
since I don't PvP well enough to get to the 1800+ or higher brackets. The highest I've attented was around 900 and we stopped playing there, since I had enough points for the deadly libram. It was frustrating because we encountered a lot of people in full furious (3.1 patch) gear and weaponry. It was a 2v2 with myself as a ret paladin and my roommate as a resto druid.
I have tunnel vision (thanks to all the FPS games I played) and just suck at PvP because of it.
Edit: Wow I digressed a lot in this post...

Just have to "boast" a little, on my main i have ~270 days played and another 100 across my other chars. Hit 1 year of playtime a couple of months back ;p Dedication you say ;p

Actually it might be more, think i underestimated the time spent on my "alts". I'll look into it and give you a more accurate time later on.
And no i dont get payed to play. Though i pay to play ;p

In 3.3 Relentless will still require Arena rating (around 1000 rating), however the Furious libram will be 100% honor then.
