It's possible Feint will save you from taking damage given the mechanic -- an AoE aura with a channeled cast. Just a guess -- never really bothered to use Feint in Ulduar since our healers always say they're bored aside from Mimiron or Vezax.
I take considerably less damage when I feint the tantrum, so yes, it works as far as I know.

wow..thanks for the feint post.. I will definatly try that when we get that far..lol
Our guild is composed of mature guys and gals in their 30-40+ (with a few of us 20 year olds mixed in), so we have real life agro to get in the way of our raiding adventures some times.. We rescheduled it for tonight so , we're gonna see how far we can go

On Ignis, pop CloS if you're going into Slag Pot and use your Killing Spree and you will get out of it. Not sure if it's been fixed already, since I am Mutilate now.
And PenguiNet, we haven't had any problem with this, since the tank should always tank mobs against the group.

Why would you cloak Slag Pot? You get 100% haste buff coming out of it...

As of yesterday (own observations), CoS no longer prevents the damage from Slag Pot
On Mimiron as Combat, Pop BF+KS after the first Shock blast and they should refresh just before phase 2 starts.
In phase 2 and 4, remember that his hitbox is larger than you'd expect - don't stand too close behind him or you risk getting hit by the laser barrage (similarly to the iceblocks on sapphiron)
Trash before Kolo/Council is sappable (makes me remember TBC heroics :< )
On Auriaya, Vanishing while she casts her fear does not result you in getting feared - you can therefore interrupt her AoE. In addition, if you are in the middle of a Killing Spree during the fear cast, you won't get feared as well.
On Thorim, during phase 1, the champions won't whirlwind if they are disarmed
On Freya, you can stun the water elemental just as he's about to charge into somebody.
Remember to pool energy for kicking on Vezax
Trading ToTT with another rogue on brain phases on Yogg does wonders

Ok, does one pop feint before he goes into tantrum or during it? Deadly Boss mod doesn't seem to have a timer for that one for it. (which is also a huge pain in the ass for our poor healers).
Also, is there like a way someone can self-time it on when he goes into tantrum? Like is it 2 light 2 gravity bombs and then he casts it?

As far as I remember, DBM has a tantrum timer. Have you updated yours recently?

hmm...must be something wrong with mine. The time bar showed up, but he starts tantruming when it says he has a few seconds left till he starts .heh
Well..none the less, we downed him last night, but had to stop a the iron council. ...ouch 0_o

Out of curiousity, does this work on the Whirlwinding mobs in Razorscale?
Oh and by the way love this thread, my rogue has been on a hiatus for a long time, so trying to play catch up on knowledge on how to use his skills.

I found that with the trash mobs before iron council, in particular the healer stone dudes, that it's best to keep yourself in sort of ez mode auto-attack thing and focus on kicking...
Basically 'cause their cast for healing is like a thousandth of a second so you have to be able to catch it as soon as you can.
On the iron council, is there any other tips besides kicking one of the stone boss dudes to keep him from casting the lightning chain?

1 tip for combat rogues in Ulduar and this works for most bosses. Generally heroism/bloodlust is used at the start or end of the fight or straight after a soft enrage.
Get tricks up at the start and blow ALL cooldowns (blade flurry, adrenaline rush, the lot). Blade flurry is up 2 minutes later. Adrenaline Rush is now on a 3 minute timer so will generally be up before the soft enrage or the hero/blood call towards the end of the fight. Throwing tricks up on tank and going nuts on fights like Hodir helps a @#$%load with DPS elsewhere.
It IS a gimmick fight so i'm not doing much in the way of willy waving about it but XT-002 im generally looking at 8.3k dps using the above (mix of BiS naxx and a couple of Ulduar pieces).

*sigh* Unfortunately, I won't be able to go on my guilds 10 man run tonight, as my internet at home is out (....comcast sucks).
So, whilst I pout I was wondering if mut is good for raiding, especially in Ulduar? I hated to respec, but I kept getting flapjacking dagger drops from 25 naxx ( I have like 3 webbed deaths now lol), so I figured a higher power was trying to tell me something. :P
Here's my characters details btw... tell me what I'm doing wrong if I want to keep my mut build now.

Ohh..ignore that enchant on the gun...my guildmate gave me it so I am not responsible for what was on it when I first equipt it...heh
