Eh... unfortunately you can't just take two universities and put them on the weighting scales. There are a lot of things to consider - let me name only a few:
Large campus vs. small campus
Student population
Student:Faculty ratio
Major
Focus on research, hands-on experience, hardcore academics, internships, and whatever else you can think of as focus
Cost of tuition and housing; financial aid
Campus activities
If you are moving just to go to college, I would assume academics is what matters the most for you, and as long as you can afford a college with good educational standards, you would go there. However I can't give you an answer - the only university of your list I know is Purdue. I know it for one with good reputation, but I can't compare it to the rest.

I say UConn, because one of my guildies is named Uconn.

Actually I didnt, perhaps I could never consider it so professionally as you T T
So far I may choose UConn (university of connecticut), for she has both a nice location and fair campus organizing (i.e. high student population, various campus activities). Her tuition and housing fee is reasonable, too.
A significant problem I'm facing now is that I really know little about these universities.

To add to Argent's list:
The location of a campus.
Some people love campuses that are in a big downtown city district, others like quite, back-wood campuses.

Big one. I was actually hoping to get into another college, but my high school GPA wasn't high enough to get in, ended up going to another college, lucky for me that was the only college in the state that actually had a Actuarial Science program.
You need to read up on how much support, if any, the colleges have of your major, because otherwise you may end up doing something you don't want to do.

I guess that I will like finance..
Althought Purdue's finance course is one of the bests in the US, but I'm afraid that living in such a rural area could be so dull that ruin my whole university life..

That's another thing. Are you going to college to have fun or to learn a skill that can support you (and family?) for the rest of your life?

I don't think its an either or thing. I'm having a lot more fun this semester than I did last semester, and my grades are better too. Just depends how efficiently you spend your time.

Well I guess it depends on how you manage your time. Which will be more important to you? Having fun or learning? Can you balance both? If you can't, which will come first?

Dear sir, I attended USTC, a university in China with excellent reputation locates in rural area. A few month after I went there, I become nervous and depressed just like the other students. Hobbies of most of students is talking about WoW(it is there where I learned to play WoW. XD), girls, and soccer. Things most yearned for us is shower, dinner, and sleep.
I have to admit that it was totally a nightmare for me. Nowadays I will weight my own healthy life rather than a skill.
In addition, I think what you will learn in university largely depends on you, not the university, neither yet faculty, nor yet courses.
By the way, I was just raiding and wrote these posts without care. I'm gracious for your attention.

So . . .You're committed to working hard at school?

Definitely. For the most part it's up to you. But a good school helps.
:P
Anyways, you should come to

To the OP
I don't know why you would ask us. If you're actually going to take the replies of this thread seriously, suit yourself, but it's probably best if
you
choose which school to go to.
Why I ask you? First, I'm now in the People's Republic and there is a wall, GFW, seperating our worlds. Such things, like facebook, google groups, etc., are unavailable here. If I want to get there, I have to gladder to 'west Berlin' first by something like a tor. As a going-abroad student, that I'd better not do.
Second, I like the comments in wowhead datebase. They're exclusively valuable and I appreciate the scientific as well as intelligent brains. That's why.
-----------------
I know that such questions like comparing apples to oranges. But there ARE certain posts asking Shivering Felspine and S4 weapon, T9 and corresponding spare parts, etc. I think you can treat my question just like that. XD

Thanks, my fellow wowers..
I've chosen UConn. The advises in this post, anyway, helped me.
