If you were leader just kick him. if you weren't get leader and kick him. simple as that. I don't mind it alot unless I am having trouble at which point I don't mind saying stop. If he don't kick him.

Typhoon un-glyphed has 3 uses
1. Like Valux said pvp
2. Leveling
3. To knockback mobs that are attacking healer. But that hardly happens.
So if you want to pve at level 80, glyph it, no discussion should be necessary about it

situations for typhoon
pvp
adds on gluth (AWAY from him)
similar situations to above
trash zombies in cos to make a clear path
interrupting an annoying spell being cast
leveling/soloing
oh %^&* situations where something gets by a tank and needs kept off a healer for ~2 secs before being picked up
a lot of boomkin seem to think "I specced into it so I'd better use it" is enough to justify using it every cd rather than knowing it's there for those times when you'd wish you had it
maybe they should take a lesson from the trees, they specced into swiftmend but go to sleep just tossing a rejuv now and then knowing they have more to fall back on if needed but not blowing everything
if they spam it ask them to stop, if they still spam it kick em or leave

Thunderstorm
on the shaman is a similar spell (knockback), and I've chosen
not
to
glyph
for it to remove the knockback. It actually comes in
very
handy if you accidentally pull aggro. I tend to sometimes pull aggro with Chain Lightning, when a tank isn't expecting the AoE damage so soon (DK's that don't open with DnD, Pallies that don't pop Consecrate, etc.)
The knockback does a great job forcing the adds back towards the tank. I've actually been thanked/complimented by the tank after using it to save healers.
Don't underestimate the utility of a cleverly-used knockback. It can save lives. :)

It's not really the same, thunderstorm range is only 10 yards and as far as I know elemental shammy don't stand next to the tank, usually further away than 25y. It is great for pushing mobs away from range dps/healers when they agro and you can use it to gain mana when you running low even if tank has all agro and you don't even have to worry about pushing back the mobs, unless for some reason you run to tank and then use it :D

I hate Typhoon and Thunderstorm. It takes skill to position monsters correctly, so that i can AoE-aggro them all. Things that can mess up my positioning are bad.
Its the worst in a raid though. Some boomkin/shamen actually use the spells to DPS. In a very large group, a Typhoon can generate like 6-5k dps. Said typhoon also knocks the trash out of range of lets say 7 melee dps-ers. Each one generates 5-6k dps. The knockback knocks the trash out of their range for, lets say 2-4 seconds. Thats 70k-160k wasted melee damage, just because some moron wanted to show off with his knockback. In the worst scenario, some monsters switch aggro, because they are out of tanks control, and they run loose all around, chasing after players, and lowering the raid DPS even further.
Although i have to add, druid tanks do not suffer as much from knockback abilities, compared to, say, a DK or a Pally, since Druids AoE is not static. Our AoE moves with us. Nothing hurts more than spewing three valuable runes out to use Death and Decay, just to have all the monsters knocked out of it after one or two ticks.

Typhoon with knockback is useful in ToC. Un-tanked Infernals on Jaraxxus, NPCs on squishy raid members on Champions, keeping the small bug debuff off yourself and others in Anub submerged phase.
But ofc, never knock back tanked mobs and never knock back mobs for no reason. Goes without saying, so anyone that does it is probably just being obnoxious.
I used to use it glyphed in Naxx simply because some of the trash AoE packs (spiders) and at Gluth were so large it was actually massive damage for 1GCD. Ulduar and ToC don't have packs big enough to make it worthwhile. Occasionally you can use it un-glyphed on a mob you know is immune to knockback (i.e. the boss) as a filler while moving.

If used right, typhoon knockback is valuable. But.. There are alot of n00bkins out there that just .. don't know better. Its very annoying. Not gamebreaking, but annoying. As someone previously mentioned, it takes a bit of skill to reposition mobs, especially casters, and then the moonkin comes and screws it up for you. >:|

As a tank I hate it and will remove people from heroics for using it after a warning to 2.
