Turalyon does NOT hate the Horde.

Alright, for all of you fellows who think Turalyon would hate the Horde, and would be as extreme or more extreme than Varian, please read the following quotes from Beyond the Dark Portal.
“Oof!” He stumbled forward, so lost in thought that he hadn’t seen the pair of children until they’d slammed into him.
“Sorry, mister!” the boy cried. The girl gazed up at him with solemn brown eyes. Turalyon smiled and patted her hair as he spoke to the boy.
“With an attack like that you’ll make a fine soldier one day,” he said.
“Oh yes, sir, I hope so, sir! You think all the orcs will be dead before I’m old enough to kill them?”
Turalyon smile faltered. “I’m sure you’ll be able to serve the Alliance well,” he said, evading the question. Revenge. The fiery need and anger it kindled in the heart had cost Turalyon someone he loved. He would say nothing to foster racial hatred in a child.
-- pp 55-56
“There were rumors of orcs hiding among the peaks there.” allowed herself a grim smile. “We found ten of them.” Turalyon did not have to ask what she and her rangers had done with the discovered orcs. He wondered if she’d started taking trophies. He’d seen her once crouching over a body, a savage grin on her face, and had been stunned by the glee she took in killing.
“Alleria,” he said quietly, “I’ve been writing you and you’ve never answered. You owe me nothing. I understand that. But if . . . what happened between us means you can no longer work with me, I need to know that now. I’m your commander. I--the Alliance--can’t afford to find out on the battlefield that you’re not listening, or not obeying.” He waited until she looked at him. “Do you have a problem with that?”
“There is no problem,” the blond elf answered sharply. “The Alliance wants every orc dead. So do I. We can work together on that.”
“That’s all we are to you now--a means to an end. A way to kill more orcs more quickly.”
“What else is there?” she answered. “Khadgar only found me because my band and I were hunting orc renegades in Alterac. I agreed to meet with him at Nethergarde because his messenger said it involved orcs, and I agreed to bring his summons to you for the same reason.” She frowned. “And the sooner we reach Lordaeron, the sooner I can seek out more of those green-skinned abominations and cleanse this land of their filth!” Her voice rose with passion and her eyes flashed. Some heads turned in their direction. “I will see them dead, every last one of them. Even if it takes me a hundred years!”
Turalyon felt a shiver run down his spine. “Alleria,” he began, pitching his voice low, “you’re talking genocide.”
The smile that curved her lips was a cruel one. “It is only genocide when those being slain are people. This is nothing more than exterminating vermin.”
He realized with a shock that she honestly believed her words. She really didn’t see the orcs as sentient people. She saw them as abominations, as monsters, as . . . rats. Turalyon knew he had slain his fair share of them--had done so at times with great anger in his heart at what they had done to his people. But this . . . Alleria didn’t want justice. She didn’t want the orcs to pay for the crimes they had committed, she wanted to hurt them. To exterminate an entire race, if she could.
--pp 62-64
“Bring me an orc, and believe me, I’ll get out of him what we want to know.” The way said it and the set of his jaw made Turalyon flinch. He saw in Danath’s face an echo of Alleria’s single-minded hatred of the orcs. For all their brutality, for all the pain and damage and hurt to this world they had caused, he could not help but pity whatever captive Danath Trollbane took it upon himself to question. He only hoped the orc would speak quickly--for its sake, and their own.
--p 133
Turalyon nodded. “Then we’ll have to go after both,” he decided. He glanced at the others, weighing options in his head. “Danath, I think you’d like to kill a few more orcs.”
“Indeed, sir, yes I would.”
Turalyon sighed. It pained him to see those he was fond of so revenge-ridden. But who was he to judge--he had not seen his whole contingent slaughtered while he fled to get aid. Danath would have to make peace with his pain in his own way, as Alleria had finally done. He would need to learn that you could fight without hate in your heart--fight for something, rather than against it.

He didn't
hate
the Old Horde, even if he knew that they had to be stopped. I definitely think he would respect the New Horde. Especially if the Naaru trust them.

I agree. But I can't help but wonder what you mean to accomplish with this thread.

Funny, because I said that he would on that Varian post.

Funny, because I said that he would on that Varian post.
And I responded saying 'Characters like Tirion, Khadgar and Brann faught the first horde, and now they see them as allies'. And as Skeeran says, if the Narru trusts the new horde, then a follower of the light like Tur would likely do the same.

I can see turalyon as a true believer of the paladin code.
this code among it's many tennnets (was that the right word?) states that the paladin must:
Uphold justice (what justice would there be in exterminating an entire race? based on the actions of few?)
Protect the weak and the inocent (not all the orcs are warriors, they have many civillians who live an honest life as simple villagers, they do not deserve to be killed or imprisoned)
I can see turalyon doign what tirion fordring did, since tirion's son asked him the same question "papa, are all the orcs bad?" to wich tirion answered that not all of them are, and imidietly tirion's wife, scolded him and told the boy that all orcs, no exeptions listed were animals, who must and have to be slain on the spot, they are not even to be considered people, more like worms, like flith.
and BTW skeeran, after reading that line of alleria, my respect lvl for her has dropped dramatically, and I mean zub-zero ground lvl.
unless she changes to some degree when she finnaly gets on the game, I gotta say I can no longer respect someone who expresses herself like she just did.

The Naaru trust the Forsaken - Otherwise they wouldn't be in Shattrath.
Therefore, they are trusted by the Naaru and the Army of the Light. :)
I don't know about that.....
They are destroying his home land and tearing his people to shreads, somthing even the narru could not relate to.
Yes, because the Naaru haven't been fighting the Legion for untold milenium, watching as their ally races are either wiped out or corrupted.....

I really don't think the Forsaken are meant to be in the Army, they have too much baggage about themselves and their allies and enemies. I know I wouldn't trust them if I was at war, espically as we don't the full powers of a Dreadlord; Dreadlord Commander "Oh look, a few thousand Undead. Quick! Cast some spells to take control of their bodies and turn them on their allies!".... Plus you know... the whole Blight thing.

indeed, remember that the dreadlords are actually more fond of controlling humans than controlling other races.
garithos and is forces were controlled by a dreadlord, same goes for the scarlet crusade, and the scarlet onslaught.
is like every dreadlord has their own private human army.
the only dreadlord who hasn't made full use of humans as pets is varimathras, and even then, if we think about it, forsaken are humans, dead and rotten but still human xD.

Actually I was talking about them using Necromancy to control the Forsaken's bodies, not their minds. And I know they could control any race, but it's harder for them to do so as they have to take the body over, but the Forsaken are just walking dead, plus you know... the Dreadlords helped to create the Scourge/Forsaken in the first place, so it would be twice as easy for them.

arg, I would offer a proper argument against what u said, but sadly I can't remember if garithos was possesed by detheroc, or was just mind controlled by him.
I really just can't remeber, and my warcraft III CD is broken (U.U learn this lesson, NEVER loan your games to anyone) so I can't confirm it.
as for them using necromancy. here is a small theory (since is a theory, it has a 70% rate of not being acurate :P)
a necromancer is capable of controlling an inanimated corpse, because such corpse lacks the free will to move on its own, thus making something inanimate move is relatively easy for them.,
forsaken however are not inanimated corpses, these are corpses who somehow regained their will, and can move on their own.
even though they are still rotting flesh and exposed bones, the main diference from them and any other undead is that they have the free will to say to their would-be-pupetteer "Screw you", and refuse to obey.
if it was that easy to controll a forsaken wound't the lich king had regained controll over them now that his power has been restored?
he lost momentarily his powers, the forsaken regained their will, and in that act, they became inmune to the manipulations of common necromancy, wich demans that the inanimated object lacks a will of its' own.

Surely it would be as simple as mind controlling any other race?To both: All undead are just walking corpses, what I'm talking about would be the same as casting a mind control spell on someone, who would fight it obviously, but while they are fighting, the caster would be causing massive destruction with the body. Don't forget, for her entire life as a Banshee, till the weakening begain, Sylvanas had her full willpower but her body belonged to Arthas, same as Zeliek in Naxx. And comparing the Lich King to a Dreadlord isn't really that much; yes Arthas "killed" Mel'ganis, but as we found out, that was just a setback. The Lich King is powerful, but I really don't think he is on par with the Dreadlords; so I could see them having a different version of the necromancy spell that could control any necrotic flesh, so they could make the Forsaken dance to their toon while the undead try to tell their allies to run from them.

...But then why didn't Varithramas make Sylvanas do the Caramelldansen? :( I would have paid for it.
Lol, that I don't know, and I would have paid for it too. Could be he was afraid to, after all, not much to gain when your all alone and outnumbered. I'm sure we'll hopefully see more, and I don't know for sure that the Dreadlords can do this.... but it would make sense, lots of fantasy books where the stronger necromancer takes his allies servants out of their control and turns them on them.
Plus you know... I hate the Forsaken, so I'd really rather they were not in the Army of Light heh.
