Spark of Hope only provides the highest Mp5 if you're constantly casting spells, whereas the Talisman will give you a solid +2000 mana or so, which will always be there, giving you a good bonus from Hymn of Hope, Shadowfiend, Replenishment, and Kings, along with anything else that has to do wtih Max Mana.
Plus, that 600SP is sexy before casting Divine Hymn. =P
And don't worry about losing the 100 Spirit. I'm pretty sure how it works is that the more Int you have, the more mana Spirit restores per point of Spirit you have.

? Spark of Hope is by a HUGE margin the strongest regeneration trinket in the game currently for holy priests. Let's say that we completely ignore the +100 spirit (which is obscene for a holy priest already). JUST the 42 Mana reduction from all spells cast... Let's think about this.
CONSERVATIVELY, let's say that in 10 seconds, you've cast off a PoH, 2x Flash heal, a CoH, then another PoH.
42 x 5 = 210 Mana in 10 seconds conserved, or 105 MP5 equivalent.
now let's even say that one of your flash heals was a SoL proc
42 x 4 = 168 Mana in 10 seconds conserved, 84 MP5 equivalent.
Uh wow. That's pretty enormous guys.
Let's add in the PASSIVE MP5 you'll get from the 100 Spirit, NOT EVEN COUNTING the effect of Holy concentration, we're looking at a conservative 150 MP5, and it's ALL PASSIVE.
If we add in the effect of Holy Concentration, we're probably looking at something close to 175 MP5 depending on your HC uptime.
Numbers from Elitist Jerks has even put it up as high as in the mid to high 200 range.
So what does this REALLY mean? It's an amazing regeneration trinket, but it has NO other capabilities. I absolutely love my Talisman of Resurgence. I tie in the proc with Every PoH, PoM, or GHeal I cast so that I'm using it pretty much constantly. This is probably my favorite new feature of the latest Healbots. :-)

Consider replacing your cloak enchant with Lightweave - Darkglow does not return a huge amount of mana anyways, whereas Lightweave has something like a 30% uptime (procs very often with a fairly short ICD).
this I will disagree with. Lightweave is amazing, I won't argue with this. However, consider your Darkglow enchant to be something of a mana potion. By the end of a fight, I'll have received back about 2500 mana to even 3500 mana, depending on the length of a fight only from Darkglow. And these numbers are even conservative.
What it really comes down to is what a holy priest really needs. My opinion is that a holy priest MUST have mana regeneration to back up huge sustained healing capacity.
Now if your mana regeneration is already through the roof, then go for it. However, if you're considering dropping the Spark of Hope (which is AMAZING regeneration/conservation) then make sure you make up for these differences elsewhere on your gear before swapping out Darkglow for Lightweave or you might find yourself crying out for Innervate a bit too often.

Not disagreeing with you, but just pointing out the flaw in your calculation above.
Spark of Hope does not reduce the cost of a spell by 42, but the
base
cost. What this means is that if you have a talent that reduces the mana cost of all spells by 10%, the reduction you'd get from SoH is also reduced by 10%, to about 38 mana.

Hmm, I didn't even realize this was an implication. Even still, it's far above the others for mana regeneration. I do prefer the use of the Talisman myself.

I believe he was equivocating the 32 mana back to the approximate 1/3 value of a proc of rapture.
