Doomwhisper

Edge of Broken Front, about halfway up
Doomwhisper heard the rocks coming and just barely dodged the shower of boulders as they came from above. She looked up and swore loudly; climbing down the mountain towards her were 3 ghouls and 2 giests.
This is just not my day.
Doomwhisper thought, looking around for a ledge or something to atleast stand on in to fight them. She saw what she was looking for and scrambled towards it.
She reached it just as the first Giest jumped at her. The thin undead misjudged the jump though and went past her, screeching in muffled anger as it crashed into the undead coming up from behind.
She fired off a few of her holy Death Coils, catching a ghoul and sending it falling to its doom, but the other Scourge continued towards her growling and drooling.
The Light is really messing with me now isnt it.
Doomwhisper thought, waiting for the next attack.

"Hurry, get on!" Doomwhisper turned, hearing the voice of Valinaria. She saw the young elf reaching a hand out, and Doomwhisper jumped for it, grabbing on and used the bone gryphon to pull herself into the saddle behind Valinaria.
"Nice save little one." Doomwhisper panted as the gryphon streaked away from the Scourge forces.

Good, she still wants to make up for what happened. I know the Highlord will ask her to do something to make it up, but it shouldnt be anything too grand.
Doomwhisper thought, scanning around them to make sure they weren't going to be jumped by any roving gargoyle packs.
"Let us go then Valinaria. The Highlord is there now after all. I returned there to get another gryphon earlier, and recieved a message from my patron Lady Alistra, the knight of Unholy, who told me the Highlord had a personal mission for me once I was finished with my current one." She said, relaxing slighty as they flew over the barrier fence around the Vault.
They landed out front of the main entrance, and Doomwhisper saw Base lounging in the shadows. She nodded at him, and motioned him to follow them into the Vault to speak with the Highlord.

Doomwhisper placed her hand in the center of Valinaria's back and pushed her forward. "Don't show fear little one." She said as she kneeled down.
"Highlord Morgaine, I bring before you Base the Rogue who assisted me in the tunnels of Aldur'Thar. Without his assistence I would have been in grave trouble and unable to hunt the Lich that was created. He requires compensation, as with all mercanaries, he doesnt work for free." She smiled at that. "I vouch for him my lord."
"Very well, he'll recieve a fine amount for his assistence. Base, speak with Baron Sliver, he deals with gold transactions here." The Highlord rumbled, looking over at the rogue and motioning he should leave with thanks. "And who is this?" Morgaine's eyes fastened on Valinaria, and Doomwhisper saw her shudder.
"This Valinaria, a warrior of the Forsaken now, thought she once was a Scourge Frost Wyrm Handler. She has since freed herself from the curse of death, and is no longer a servant of the Lich King." Doomwhisper took a deep breath. "She was one of those who lead the assault on the Shadow Vault, but it was under the Lich King's orders my lord. She wishes to make amends and comes before you for justice." Doomwhisper stood and placed her hand on the Elven maid's shoulder. "Highlord, I ask that she be placed in my care so that I may observe her and assist her in making it up for all the harm she has caused."
The Highlord stared into Doomwhisper's eyes, then turned to stare into Valinaria. The elf made look like she wanted to faint but she held herself upright and proud. "You realize my Knight, if you do this and she falls back to her old ways, you'll be required to kill her or die alongside." He said it very simply.
"Yes my lord I know. And I accept these terms." Doomwhisper answered, and could hear Valinaria suck in a breath.

"Then as she is now bound to you my Knight, she might as well hear this." The Highlord said, looking at both of the women. "Your scout, that undead raven explained alot of what had been happening. The most important mission is to hunt down and deal with that Lich Maldan. For that, rejoin the paladin High Elf and the Human warrior. Also," He reached into his cloak and pulled out a message. "There is a Broken shaman at work here, Valen requests you meet up with him as well. Once the Lich has been dealt with, there are of course other missions I will have for the two of you."
"Lady Valinaria, as you will now be representing the Ebon Blade, go with Doomwhisper to our quartermaster and get some new weapons and armour. Your current ones are a bit of a mess." The Highlord smiled at that.
"Thank you my lord." Doomwhisper and Valinaria nodded to The Highlord, then headed over to the quartermaster.
"Welcome to the Blade, little one." Doomwhisper said, smirking slightly. "You'll never be bored again."

"You tell me, miss mind power. Can you sense either Nathadan or Dralas anywhere near by? I have a feeling that the other member of our little group, the Broken Shaman, will find us." Doomwhisper said, reaching into her pouch and pulled out a small wooden whistle. "Use this to summon a bone gryphon Valinaria. They can hear it from anywhere and will come as quickly as possible."
The two women left the Vault and used their whistles and waited for the gryphons to arrive.

Character: Base
Location: Shadow Vault
Base followed the Draenei and her companion ((She's an undead High Elf, right?)).
"I don't suppose you'll be needin' any more help? That other elf that was with you looked fairly hurt, and I'm a decent physician, I could take a look at him if you like," He smiled, "I'll even do it for free, if you can aquire some transportation. I normally travel on foot, but I don't think it would be easy to board the Skybreaker with only my own two feet."

"Hmm sounds like a plan Base. Here let me summon a gryphon for you." Doomwhisper pulled the whistle out and called for another bone gryphon.
"There well behaved, just follow after us, were heading to Crusader's Pinnacle to meet back up with that Warrior Dralas, and with that gryphon flying our colours, the Skybreaker will hold off on firing on you." She handed him a simple cloth with a message to the Captain telling them the Rogue was working for the Shadow Vault and not the Horde.
The three headed off, two to the south, the other to the east towards the massive airship.

Character: Base
Location: Near the Skybreaker
As Base neared the Skybreaker, he could see that the Alliance crewmen were uneasy about a Troll approaching their ship. As he landed on the deck, instantly a dozen rifles were pointed at him with another dozen swords interspersed between. What appeared to be the Captain pushed his way through the soldiers.
"Halt, Horde scum. Where did you aquire this Gryphon and what makes you think that you can just land aboard our ship after the %$#@ you and your kind pulled at the Broken Front?" He barked at the rogue.
Unphased, Base asnwered. "One of yours sent me here to treat one of your wounded." He responded, handing the Captain the piece of cloth.
"Hmm..." The captain said at last, after reading the note, "I suppose this could be legitimate. But my men are going to have to relieve you of your weapons."
"So be it," Base answered, "I may be a killer, but I know how to save lives as well, and from what I saw, the Elf that accompanied the Death Knight Doomwhisper could certainly use some care," he responded, while taking out his daggers and handing them, hilt first, toward the guards.
"How admirable," the captain chuckled, "but I wasn't born yesterday. Remove the rest of your weaponry."
Base laughed in agreement, "Sorry, mon,
err
, sir, just an old habit." He removed several throwing knives and several vials of poison from his belt, and a brass knuckle and a dozen bombs from his satchel, handing them over slowly to the guards. "I will be expecting those back later."
"Well," the captain finally began, once he was convinced that the Troll had no other hidden weapon, "it's good to finally meet a member of the Horde that can be trusted."
"Ah," Base chuckled, "I am not a soldier of the Horde. I do work for the Horde on many occasions, but that is simply because they are much more inclined to accept the services of one of my... racial persuasion. I am happy to work for the Alliance, as well."
"Excellent," the Captain smiled, "it is an honor to meet you then. You may call me High Captain Justin Bartlett. Perhaps we may talk later, but I know you must attend to the wounded. Corporal Reyas will take you to the infirmary."
At that moment, a large human in heavy golden plate armour presented himself.
"Greetings, troll," he said, saluting the captain, "you may follow me to the infirmary."
They went below deck where many Alliance soldiers lay on cots, in various states of injury. A human in white clothing approached the pair.
"Who is the Troll?" He asked.
"A friend of Doomwhisper's, apparently, she sent him here to care for an Elf recently brought here," the Corporal answered.
"Oh, Nathadan? He was sent to Crusader's Pinnacle, against my wishes, but we must use every soldier capable of fighting, I suppose. But where are my manners," he answered, removing a glove to shake Base's hand, "I am Doctor Holmes."
"Very nice to meet you," Base answered with a short bow, " but I suppose I will have to be off to Crusader's Pinnacle then."
He turned to leave, but the Doctor put his hand on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry to ask this, but could you perhaps stay a bit and help with the injured? We are severely understaffed and any bit of help would be immensely appreciated," He said, a concerned look on his face, "Besides, Nathadan seemed to have made a full recovery, and so many more here could use the care."
Base sighed, and turned back to the Doctor.
"I suppose I could," He answered, "And I can't work for free."
"Excellent!" The doctor cheered, "And do not worry about cost, the Alliance puts a great deal of money into this ship, and we can never hire enough doctors. To start with, could you please check up on Sergeant Stillfield, there? He's been fading in and out of consciousness and seems to have an infection developing in his wounds."
Base walked up to the cot where the human lay, and examined the wounds. A large gash covered much of his chest. The bleeding had stopped, for the most part, and wound had nearly closed. The man coughed, and blood began to pour back through. Base pressed his ear to the mans chest, and though he heard no irregular breathing, he felt a small hard object within the wound. He put on a pair of gloves, which though designed for a person with five fingers, did the job, and then picked up a scalpel and a pair of tweezers.
"This is going to hurt, you may want to bite down on this," he said, handing the man a rolled up cloth. He then took the scalpel and carefully cut open the wound. Inside, he found a small shard of metal, presumably from the blade of one of the Scourge. He picked it out and several smaller ones, until he could see no more.
"Here's the source of the infection," he announced, holding up the largest shard. He then pulled out a small vial of poison, that he had managed to keep hidden from the soldiers on deck.
"Do we have clean water?" He asked. The doctor shook his head sadly. Base grumbled and then approached on of the many windows on the ship, pulling in a ball of snow that had gathered on the hull of the ship. He threw this into a pan and heated it over the fireplace that was kept in the room until the water began to boil. He then set the pan inside a
small machine
that he had retreived from his pack, and chilled the water. After it had cooled, he let a single drop from his vial fall into the pan, stood up, and gently poured the mixture over the soldier's wounds.
"That should help with the infection," he said, and withdrew an empty vial from his satchel and a needle from the medical tray. Carefully, he pierced one of the veins on his wrist with the needle, and let the blood flow into the vial. Base's wrist healed withing a minute, and he was left with a vial of his own blood.
"Drink
this
, it will help you heal."

Mavik
Character:
Mavik Dawnstone and Glasius Lightbringer ((playing both of them... >>))
Location:
Cathedral of Light, Stormwind
It was only just past nine in the morning when Glasius strolled into the main chamber of the Cathedral. It was his favorite time to be there as the sun above seemed to hit the windows just perfectly as to shoot beams of light down on the Altar that stood at the end of the long corridor. Those same streaks of light also bounced off his polished plate Armor seeming to make it glow with amazing golden and white lights that permeated the area around him, giving him a divine aura that he did not truly have.
As usual, the Archbishop and his apostles were conversing over a myriad of things up by the podium, but Glasius did not even glance in their direction. Instead, he turned down the first corridor on his left and walked into it's connecting room. The walls of the stone building were lined with wooden shelves filled with books of all different topics and, in front of them were matching wooden benches. Several Paladins and Priests sat in this room reading and taking in all the knowledge the Cathedral's Library had to offer, still Glasius passed all of it by.
Finally, he came to a tapestry hanging on the western wall with the Cathedral's insignia embroidered on it. On each side of it stood two heavily armored men who eyed him intently. Although their chests were covered by a thick plate of steel, etched with magical runes, they wore skirts around their waists. After a moment of silence, the guard on the left looked to him with a glare in his eyes and spoke.
"What business do you have for the inhabitant of this private library, Paladin?"
" I come to speak with him." Glasius replied with a stern tone. "I bring orders from King Varian Wrynn, himself." He held out his right hand, showing them a rolled up scroll, binding it was the wax seal of the King of Stormwind. Clearly uninterested in the scroll, the armored mages studied him a bit more, casting some sort of incantation upon him to see if he spoke truth. A moment later, the left guard nodded at him and reached over with his right hand to pull the tapestry to the side.
Behind the intriguingly woven tapestry was another hallway. This one, nearly pitch black. Slowly, Glasius entered, removing his mace from his side and holding it before him at eye level. Quietly to himself, he then started to recite a prayer and, with each word, the hammer started to glow brighter and brighter illuminating the, now visible, stone hall. Once his eyes adjusted, he pressed on.
It only took a few moments before he reached the end of the hall and a wooden door, which he pressed open without even knocking. Inside the room the walls were draped with several light colored tapestries, each one with an image of a notable person of the Light. Archbishop Benedictus, Uther the Lightbringer, and even Prince Arthas Menethil before his decent into darkness.
In the center of the room facing away from the door was a single, high backed chair that was padded with a fine white colored elvish silk, on both sides of it sat a large stack of old books. There were no windows, candles or other natural forms of light in this room, but the area was very well lit by something else.
"Mavik?" Glasius asked in a hushed tone. Then a moment later, an arm came from the left side of the chair. it was wrapped in finely sewn Frostweave and contained a very intricate design. In it's hand was a closed book that the being in the chair sat down on top of the others. "I've come with news for you, old friend."
"Who are you calling old, Mister Paladin?" the figure in the chair asked, his voice clearly annoyed by the remark. Then the figure stood up. It was very clear that he was human and his hair was a brilliant white color. Slowly the man moved around the chair as if he were walking on air until he faced Glasius. He was very young. No older than Glasius at about 28 or 29 seasons. But his hair color led others to think the contrary until he faced them. "You know why my hair is this way and it's not from age."
"I also know how much people calling you old gets under your skin." Glasius remarked with a smile which Mavik returned.
"Not as much as you lead others to believe." Mavik's facial expression turned serious. "Now, what news do you bring?"
"Northrend." Glasius replied. "I have just received word from SI:7 that a group of soldiers in Icecrown is looking for someone to provide the men there with some spiritual guidance."
Mavik's face changed to show a bit of confusion. "Why come to me directly though?" he inquired. "Wouldn't the Archbishop assign someone to this task and then go to them?"
Glasius shook his head. "Not this time." he replied. "These soldiers are not Alliance or Horde. They're members of the Argent Crusade and we were mentioned by name because of our work with them in Naxxramas before Kel'Thuzad relocated it. I've already spoken with King Wrynn about this and he has said that we are to treat this as a Military assignment so that we don't need to go through the church. Arrangements have already been made for us to be teleported directly there by one of the Militia's Mages."
Mavik looked around his study. "Then I should go gather my things..."
"Already done."
"Very well, Let me grab a few of these books then and we'll..."
"Mavik... we'll be a mere 300 yards from the gates of Icecrown Citadel... Do you really think you'll have time?"
Mavik sighed. "Fine... let's go..." And with a smile, Glasius turned around and walked out of the room, Mavik close behind. The moment he left the room's hearth, the light into vanished. "So, what's this going to pay, anyways?"
Glasius let out a hearty chuckle. "Oh Mavik. You are such a comedian."
