The bonus armor multipliers no longer to weapons,
cloaks
, amulets, rings and trinkets.
Cloak armor is actually modified by Bear Form, it's considered a Cloth Item.
Indeed it is, but only the
base
value. Cloaks with 'green' armor (bonus armor) don't get that bonus multiplied. Example:
Cloak of the Shadowed Sun
will offer 154 * M + 336 armor in Bear Form (M = multipliers). Not 490 * M armor.

Yes, but that's true for anything, no green armor value in
any
slot is multiplied anymore... right?
Edit:
Bonus Armor: The mechanics for items with bonus armor on them has changed (any cloth, leather, mail, or plate items with
extra armor
, or
any
other items with
any armor
). Bonus armor beyond the base armor of an item will no longer be multiplied by any talents or by the bonuses of Bear Form, Dire Bear Form, or Frost Presence.
So a cloak is treated the same as any other Cloth item.

And the point of this quote is?...

I was trying to figure out what makes a cloak any different than anything else (since you listed it with the trinkets, rings, weapons, necks earlier) because I'd always considered a cloak just like any other "armor" item... apparently you agree? Rather than wait for a response, I figured I'd just go to the source and figure it out for myself, and once I did, rather than just leave my loose-ended question hanging, or delete it, I posted my findings.
According to my
pointless
quote, if base armor is multiplied while extra armor isn't, then a cloak
is
a "cloth, leather, mail or plate" item -- meaning it
shouldn't
be included in the "any other items" category:
The bonus armor multipliers work fine, they just only apply to leather and cloth and no longer to weapons, cloaks, amulets, rings and trinkets.
So maybe the proper way to convey what we're both saying is, "No 'bonus armor' is multiplied, ever. Base Armor on any slot that has natural base armor is multiplied, but that's it (meaning armor on necks, rings, trinkets, and weapons are never multiplied)."
Meaning (just like the cloak you linked above) only the non-green armor of
These Gloves
(287) would be multiplied, the "bonus armor" (or green armor, 56) would not.
UNLESS you just meant that no
level 80
leather gear has "bonus armor" so it doesn't matter if bonus armor is affected or not, then fair enough =)
I think we agree on this, but I can't tell.

We agree, you just like nitpicking around a missing word or something. Maybe I should have said The bonus armor multipliers work fine, they just only apply to base values of leather and cloth and no longer to extra armor present on some weapons, cloaks, amulets, rings and trinkets.
See what I did there. Now it's formulated in a 'for dummies' manner I hope (not that I would ever imply you are one of them :P ).

Edit:
Bickering argument retracted. If we agree, we agree.

Just so people know, the expertise cap is actaully 14% and not 6.50 (dodge cap). There are a couple poeple here that do not seem to know that.

Indeed it is quite difficult even for an
enraged
Icehowl
to kill a Bear with 80K HP, while he's using Frenzied Regeneration as well.
