ToGC:Northrend Beasts - Tanking Trinkets

My guild has 3 established tanks and we're training a baby druid tank who recently joined us. Among the 3 established tanks, we have 2 paladins and a warrior.
The other paladin and I are more or less similarly built - we're both sitting at around 50k health buffed when we are in our max EH set up.
My main problem lies with our warrior - he is using a
Glyph of Indomitability
and
Eitrigg's Oath
combo on Heroic Beast.
From all the ToGC runs I have lead so far, all of our Northrend Beast kills have come from when me and the other paladin tank are tanking. Our warrior tank seems to go down way too easily and generally seems more squishy.
From what I understand, heroic Beasts is a massive gear check, and on this fight EH is king. With that in mind, I told him to go farm for
The Black Heart
to replace Eitrigg's Oath, and consider farming for Essence of Gossamer as well. But on 2nd thought, given that most of the damage on this fight is physical, the Glyph of Indomitability might be better than the Essence (although i'm not sure if Armor mitigates the DoT from the Impale).
Bottom line is - should I tell him to farm for Essence of Gossamer as well as the Black Heart for this particular fight? (I will build his profile later this morning when I have more time)

The horseshoe trinket totally fails. How can someone take that over The Black Heart goes beyond me. Yes, the black heart is definetly a good suggestion, and i agree with you about how high HP is important for beasts.
But, uh... Essence of Gossamer? Really? I would expect a somewhat higher demand from a guild raiding ToGC25.
I would much rather advice him to form (or even form it for him myself) an Ulduar 25 PuG-consisting-mostly-of-guild-members (or even a guild run), with special loot rules... the Heart of Iron goes to the warrior. Ignis is not hard to reach. Or, heck, make a super Ulduar 10 group that can reach yogg in less than 3 hours, and get him the Royal Seal of King Lla(id)ne.

In TotGC Gormok is a tank/healer check, and as his major damage dealing ability is a bleed effect (cannot be dodged, parried, blocked, mitigated by armour, etc.) then dual stam trinkets are the best bet for this fight. While i haven't verified wether the bleed is or not mitigated by armor, i don't quite agree on your assessment. EH is king, thatt's true, but armor is very important for this fight as the most common causes for death are 2-3 abilities that hit at the same time for huge damage. Wise use of CDs and good armor will lower those a lot and help everyone. Of course health is very important, but this means that i don't see trinkets like the Brewfest ones, even with their huge health benefit, to be better than Indomitability or maybe even the Black Heart.

There is a saying I've heard from time to time in WotLK:
"Stamina is King, Armor is God":
However.. For NB stamina truely is the best of the best.
Gormok: Impale damage is unaffected by anything, stamina is the only stat that helps.
Worms: Breath/dot/spit that ticks (or hits) for loads of magic damage, again.. stamina > anything.
Headbutter: Need enough hp to survive the headbutt. Armor however regains some of it's value here.
Also wondering.. Are we talking 10 or 25man here?
