Hm... City and Australia, just to be different. No real feel for it.
Otherwise, same, same.

NZ probably deserved the game more. At least Hodges played well for once.

Yes, I'm being different for the sake of it.
I can't afford to do that, I have money on the line!
EDIT: although, to be fair, there are a lot of fairly evenly matched games this round.

You got 1 actually. 1/7 now :P
Hax and I are 3/7, best effort in my tipping comp so far is 5/7

I'm a little mystified by the omittance of Jarrod Mullen and Jamal Idris (although TBH, the less Bulldogs players that play rep footy, the better, IMO). Forward pack seems a little... strange.

I'm very happy with only Kingy gone

Hm, why did I think the dragons lost? Quietly going insane here.
But yes, 1/7.

Well, there's plenty of people saying they
shouldn't
have won. I don't buy into that crap anymore, doesn't matter how much you piss and moan about a referee's decision, they can't be taken back. You've just gotta hope your team is good enough to still win through the mistake anyway. The Dogs came close but, unfortunately, no cigar.
But honestly if there was one thing about the game I'd change, it would be to give the referees the ability to reverse a decision after review. Kind of like they have in the cricket. Surely they must realise they've made a mistake immediately after they make it, this rule saying they can't go back on a decision is unnecessarily headstrong.

We need better technology if we want to adopt a cricket type referral system

Why? If the video ref can make decisions referred from the referee using the technology we have now, why can't he make decisions referred from the players?
At any rate, it doesn't even have to be a cricket-style system, it could simply be a case of the video ref communicating with the ref through the 2-way, something along the lines of "That call was incorrect, what actually happened was X. Manly's ball".
As for better technology, the NRL is swimming in money AFAIK.

I mean ball tracking technology, because the video ref can only see things from the point of view of the cameras
