I love how people instantly are jumping on the OP. "My TPS is the 1337sauce dud3z, I haz no pr0bl3mz wif tps dawg!one" And then go so far to pick the idea apart.
He opened the floor for critique by saying:
Wouldnt this be the most rewarding threat spec for tankadins?
If you're afraid of public opinion or debate, don't use internet forums.
But really... the responses are saying: "No. No, it is not, and here's
why
." In fact, I think Verronica and svirve did great jobs of explaining why this concept is fun in theory -- and as I mentioned, similar to Protadin healing builds for PvP -- but has few uses in practice.
To borrow the car analogy -- we already have plenty of horsepower, so why are you obsessed with the cup holders? Leave that to those silly Warriors who have oversized super-large drinks to carry around.

Sigh.
CONTEXT
Yes, you are giving up JotJ for 2/3 Sanctity of Battle.
Sneaky. Reduce TTW mage's damage by 12% so that they have less threat. Thus, widening the threat gap between tankadins and Mage DPS....lol :P
a) The question is maximum threat, not maximum group dps ;-)
b) There's nothing preventing a warrior, feral druid, or DK from maintaining the debuff
By not applying JotJ, you're not debuffing a mob in such a way that mages gain a damage bonus.
Seriously. Read the thread when it's evident that a poster is replying to someone else. Having an idea what the conversation is about allows you to comment much more thoughtfully than by plucking random sentences from the forum.

Why is this thread that hard to comprehend for people? Or is the poster base just go to EJ and maintankadin, and just endlessly repeat what they say in order to look informed? Because I'm just lost on this one...
I'd give people funny looks, too, if they said, "Instead of doing something that works perfectly fine, you should use this method. Sure, it doesn't work as good... in fact, you have to basically stop doing things in a way that makes sense. But hey -- at least you'll be a unique snowflake!"
We heard you the first time. Yes, this is a spec built around the "most threat." But we're not Warriors -- we aren't designed to need one spec for taking max damage, and one spec for max threat.
We basically have one big cookie-cutter spec, which you can add either sprinkles or M&M's to. There's no reason to throw your plate of cookies at the counter and demand french fries.

Seriously, I can't possibly try to explain it anymore... but one last time... in hopes people comprehend this...
We heard you the first time. Yes, this is a spec built around the "most threat." But we're not Warriors -- we aren't designed to need one spec for taking max damage, and one spec for max threat.
We listened to the original poster, and we responded. And as I pointed out, a few of us nodded, but then pointed out the inherent problems with the idea. Of course we're going to LOLWUT -- a max-threat build is a funny concept, just like Shockadins (now) are.
All we did is point out the inherent problems with the idea -- things that you should obviously consider before attempting this.
So, like any concept, theory, or idea, we poked as many holes in it as we could, and looked to see if it still caught wind.
(Plus, let's remember -- many people looking at / discussing this concept are tanks that are constantly doing end-game content. We're past LOLing at having a turtle tank a boss, and have srs faces on, for srs biz.)
