My preferred method of contacting people is not contacting them
Pretty much. The thing I check most often is tumblr, but I don't give that out to real life people for obvious reasons. Facebook, or email (syncs on my phone so it's all good) is probably most reliable, though. Even if I take 1,000 years to reply.

Text. I'll call if I need to say a lot of things, though.

It really depends on the person and situation.

Generally, Skype is pretty good.
I dont talk on facebook messaging, but do interact via statuses.
I also text some specific people who dont use facebook as well. Never call friends unless its important.
Is in person an option?
How would you know where to meet? or what time?

Other than being in person, phone is ideal for me, except that in today's society, if you call someone, they often make a big deal about it as if we can't call up to talk about simple things.

its the same reason why taking someone off your friend-list in FB is SERIOUS BUSINESS!

I really don't understand when calling someone became so taboo. I grew up in a rural area, and we
always
called someone when we wanted to get a hold of them. When I moved to the city for school, I called someone and it was like I had just set off a bomb, given the reaction I got. What happened? =/

As has been said, it depends on the person and the context of the info being sent/requested.
It drives me crazy with people that want long involved text/im/messaging conversations rather than actual voice conversation. I do not mind those in the context of 2 or 3 back and forths, but more than that GET ON THE DAMN PHONE!

Well guys, due to certain Real Life stuff that I'm not open to discuss, I'm taking a small break off the forums, so if anyone wishes to continue the QOTD tradition, feel free to step up.
I'm really sorry fellows but I need some time away to sort my head out.
