Apparently my being friendly is considered flirting. *shrug*
I've had this before. I sat on my best friends lap at a party once and his girlfriend hated me their entire two and a half year relationship..
I flirt with my boyfriend on a regular basis, but other then that, nope. Unless we're including forum RPs in which I am playing a character flirting with another character :P

I've always been a shy person, specially to women, so no I don't flirt. I do so a lot with my wife, but only after we already had a while dating and thus my confidence was boosted.
You'll never hear me saying randomly to someone else "Hey baby s'up? I just got out of jail, cuz I kept stealing people's hearts"

Only if I want to.
Hint: No, not really.
I'd like to see that.
Well I live half the world over. If you can find me, I'll show you.
Hahahahahahaha, there's no one around here even worth pairing with - too young or too old.

#344: Which is your most memorable boss battle in a videogame?
This question is simple, what boss (or bosses) in videogames have been truly memorable to you, and why. Be specific, list the boss' name, what game they're from, and why they left a mark on your memory. Was it due to its difficulty? Impressive epic scope? Stunning visuals?
For more recent games (Anything released this year and the latter half of last year) please use spoiler tags, we don't wanna ruin surprises for other people.
You can mention as many bosses as you like (Such as your top 5) but when listing bosses, do separate lists for Single-player bosses, and bosses from Multiplayer games (Like MMOs). I feel that MMO bosses in particular are a WHOLE different beast than single-player bosses, for a myriad of reasons.
Here's my Top 5 Most Memorable bosses of all the time.
Number 5
: The Arishok in Dragon Age 2.
Not only its the only fight actually HARD in that game, the way its set up to be felt pretty awesome. Double-points if done as a mage, for many reasons. Mages are weak against melee, the Arishok comes from a culture that demonizes mages and considers them filth just above animals, and the whole fight is a one-on-one duel between you and him. Plus once you defeat him, you are crowned Champion of Kirkwall, and become one of the very few Truly Free mages in the world. On a setting were being a mage is like being a lepper, defeating the Arishok makes you a hero and a noble. The actual mechanics of the fight were also pretty cool, and the music during it was equally top-notch.
Number 4
: Xemnas. From Kingdom Hearts II.
The boss was way too easy, but the aesthetics of the fight were so over-the-top this was one heck of boss fight. Starts with a sword duel (With the boss having dual lightsabers for whatever reason) then goes to the protagonist slicing buildings in half and flying through the air, DBZ style, chasing a mothership in space (said mothership is also part dragon) and ending facing the boss with your best friend inside a blackhole.
The absurdity, and over-the-top insane action on this fight made it leave a lasting impact on my memory as one damn good boss fight. Even if it had waaaaaay too many Quicktime Events, they were so cool, I didn't cared.
Rule of Cool
is fully, and MASTERFULLY in effect here.
Number 3
: Nyx on Persona 3.
This is a boss that mixes elements of every other boss fight in the game, which you have to defeat in rapid succession without breaks, while exploiting the enemy elemental weaknesses without letting him exploit yours (or your party's). The music, ambience, and voice-acting made it for one wonderful spectacle of awesome that made it feel like every boss battle should be.
Number 2
: The Final boss of the Citadel DLC in Mass Effect 3. (Warning: HUGE HUGE SPOILERS, don't read inside the tag if you haven't played Citadel yet)
Come on, you fight against a frikking CLONE of Shepard. How much more awesome can you get? I previously held the fight against Tela Vasir as the greatest boss fight in the ME franchise, but Clone!Shepard surpasses her in every way. For me specially since Tela was a Vanguard, and my class is a Vanguard, so naturally, Clone!Shepard is also a vanguard. The fight is tense, fast-paced, challenging on anything above Normal Difficulty, and featuring THE BEST voice-acting done by either Jennifer Hale, or Mark Meer. THIS is how you do a boss battle.
It certainly made up for the rather lackluster single boss fight in the vanilla game (Kai Leng). Hell, I loved this fight so much, it would had made number 1 on my list of most awesome boss fights of all time if it wasn't for........
Number 1
: The End. From Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
Best.boss.EVER.
Its a sniper duel between you, and the man who more or less single-handedly invented sniping. Dude is almost 130 years old, and spends most of his time in a self-inflicted coma, to save what little time he has left, to spend it on the battlefield. The entire fight takes place in a gigantic 3 zone, 2 kilometer wide jungle. You have to carefully crawl across the grass, choose the correct camo, and patiently pinpoint his location, amongst a very dense jungle.
The entire fight demands patience, and a good eye, you can't stay on the same spot for too long, or The End will sneak behind you and shoot you in the back, so you have to stay mobile, while also attempting to localize the best sniper in the world, in the mist of a dense jungle, also, unless you've stocked up on food, you'll need to hunt for local animals to replenish your hunger, or else your aiming sucks, you need to make good use of your hearing, and even use the position of the sun to locate The End (Via sun's glare on the lenses of the scope). First time I did this fight it took me 2 and a half hours, note that I never died on it, it took me that long cuz I slowly moved across the jungle, and used patience instead of Leeroy Jenkins tactics, to get the better off the first sniper of humanity.
That one boss fight is for me THE BEST that videogaming has ever delivered to me.
What are yours?

Xegony
, the Queen of Air, in Everquest 1, is by far the most exciting boss fight I've ever been in. It took about 70 people to bring her down. She has two AoE, both going off constantly. One is an AoE that goes off in a circle around her, and goes a distance that is JUST shorter than the range of a cleric's complete heal spell. The other is a cone shaped AoE that goes off in front of her, at infinite range. Both AoEs will instant kill anyone/everyone in the raid besides the tank. In Everquest, when you take a hit for a certain % of your hp, your character actually gets pushed back a little bit. In order to take her down, the entire raid is outside of the circular AoE, except the tank, and everyone is standing behind her. The tank is pushed back ever so slightly, which causes her to move forward. This causes the tank to become out of range of the healers. Two consecutive hits will kill the tank. That means, that the healers all have to creep forward, occasionally, to keep up with the tank. You also can't move while casting, and you have to cast constantly, so between spells you have to take a step forward. You don't find out that you, as a healer, are out of range, until after the 10 second cast time is over, and your heal doesn't land, and the tank dies. Additionally, if the tank doesn't take a step back occasionally, Xegony's steping forward will outpace the tank's walking backward, and she will "think" she is on the other side of the tank, turn to fight, and her forward AoE will blast the entire raid. If anyone in the raid pulls aggro off the tank, even for a second, the entire raid dies. If a healer doesn't keep up, the entire raid dies. If a healer goes too far forward, the entire raid dies. If the tank walks to quickly backward, the entire raid dies, if the tank walks to slowly backward, the entire raid dies.
Pretty much, 70 people have to do exactly the right thing, for about an hour, which is how long it takes to fight her. If anyone is even 1 step off, the raid wipes. It took our guild several weeks of fighting her, and hours and hours to finally take her down.

I have a few, somewhat in order but kinda not really:
Sho Minamimoto
, from The World Ends With You. He warps between both screens with two completely different strategies for each one. For whichever screen he isn't inhabiting, he summons several taboo noise, forcing you to time your attacks between your partner. Additionally, he'll move in for a high-damage attack every few seconds. If you don't pay attention to the both screens, you will die.
Brother Elijah
, from the Fallout: New Vegas DLC known as Dead Money. He is backed up by five laser turrets and wields a Gauss rifle, but is physically weak. It let's you use skillchecks to kill him instead of just shooting.
Also from the same DLC, the
Gala Event
. It's not really a "boss" per se, but Fallout tends to lack them. Instead, you set off the celebration event that lets you into the deserted Sierre Madre casino. However, your way is filled with hostile
ghost people
, traps of all sorts (from bear traps to rigged shotguns) and the poisonous red Cloud.
Then there is
Xigbar
from Kingdom Hearts II. He teleports around the screen and creates lots of traps. Additionally, he'll snipe at you from atop a balcony every once in awhile. It's kinda cool and definitely one of the best fights from the World That Never Was.
Lastly, I'd say
Ulysses
from Lonesome Road. You fight him at the top of a nuke silo as he's getting ready to set one off over the Mojave. If talk him down, he helps you fight hordes of ghouls who had their skin blown off in the explosion and flash-ghoulified, called Marked Men. If you don't talk him down, you fight him. He has a 10 in every stat and has tons of backup. Either way, it's epic.

Its been several years since I played KH2 and I don't remember either of the fights Rank and Benz mentioned. Must not have been that memorable for me, lol. That and a lot of the game is coming up as a blank.
Actually though, there aren't any ones that I find memorable. I'm trying to think of past games I beat and their bosses but I'm just drawing a blank.

The Arishok in Dragon Age 2 comes close for me, but ultimately I think I have to say none. There is almost no case where I enjoyed a game's boss fight more than the rest of the game.

Planescape: Torment:
Final Boss
I won't say much about who it is or what happens, because I know Rank is still playing, but there's no doubt as to why it's memorable. Even if you choose not to fight, the dialogue itself can be considered a boss fight. Also, them endings...
Final Fantasy: Tactics Advance:
Remedi/Li-Grim
The idea that you are fighting against the physical manifestation of the dream that holds the world of Ivalice together is mind blowing, and that, once you defeat it the world disappears as you know it, is immensely sad. Almost makes you think the main character is the bad guy, for doing such a thing.
Super Mario 64:
Bowser, fight 3
The final fight with Bowser will always be memorable to me because it marks the end of one of my favorite games, which I grew up with for the most part. That giant star that pops out when you beat him, and the flight around the arena is always awesome.
There are probably more but it's too late for me to think.

5. Dynasty Warriors (any that had him) - Lu Bu (this mother^&*!er was so satisfying to kill - even in the short time I played this game.)
4. Super Mario 64 - Bowser (this was the battle of my childhood...even more so than every boss battle in Super Mario World)
3. Golden Sun - Saturos (fighting one of the game's villains early? Difficult as @#$%? Holy #$%^.)
4. Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal/Heartgold/Soulsilver/Black 2/White 2 - Red (this battle is just plain epic, as is the music.)
5. Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Demise (straight up sword fight with the game's villain. I liked this a lot more than the Ganon battle in OOT, if only because you get to #$%^ing shoot lightning at Demise and land a very satisfying finishing blow (more so than Ganondorf in Wind Waker). Also he's essentially Ganon. This is also one of the bosses I got my ass handed to me on the first try, which is strange since I usually can brute force through video game boss fights easily.)
Honorable Mentions:
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - Grodus (fight the game's main villain right before the end of the game. He's reasonably challenging and the battle music is awesome too. Also part of a two-part battle that essentially turns this into an endurance run where you have to not get owned by Grodus.)
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - The Shadow Queen (Final boss. While it was dragged out as hell due to events, it was a pretty difficult fight if you didn't cheese it with Danger Mario or something. Between charged attacks, lifestealing abilities, and swarms of hands that bog you down, along with other mechanics and a massive health pool, this boss rightfully deserves to be the final boss. Takes as much as a half hour though
even though that's less than the Legend of Dragoon final boss apparently
.)
Paper Mario - The Master (third form) (It was REALLY fun to fight this guy, but once you got to his third form $%^& just went down. It's pretty easy to access this early too if you want a good challenge).
Golden Sun TLA/Dark Dawn - Dullahan (This guy's mechanics are absolutely rough and is a huge wake up call to Golden Sun players given the difficulty isn't exactly that great. Fortunately it's a superboss that isn't required to beat the game. Sadly he becomes a joke in Dark Dawn but is still challenging compared to other bosses in the game.)
Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow - Champion Rival (Gary) (<----- My childhood. Also the music was great.)
Lufia 2 - Gades (MY NAME IS GADES, SINISTRAL OF DESTRUCTION!)
Lunar: SSSC/Legend/SSSH - Ghaleon/Magic Emperor (Not only is the music epic, but this guy could seriously kick your ass. As the final boss this guy is a tough customer, nuking your party with magic as often as twice a turn to the point it's nearly unhealable. Also he has a huge health pool, apparently scales with your character levels, and is just all around hard. This was one of the bosses I legitimately wiped on repeatedly when I played Lunar Legend - that's how hard it was.)
IWBTG - The Guy (THIS. *!@#ING. GUY. SO. MANY. ATTEMPTS. SO. MANY. DAYS. WASTED.)
Then there is
Xigbar
Braig from Kingdom Hearts
II
Birth By Sleep. He teleports around the screen and
creates lots of traps
makes you feel miserable. Additionally, he'll snipe at you from atop a balcony every once in awhile. It's kinda cool and definitely one of the best fights
from the World That Never Was
.

I have a bunch of favourite boss battles from various games. Really, they were all fairly memorable to me.
Tela Vasir
from
Mass Effect 2,
Lair of the Shadow Broker. I haven't played the Citadel yet, so I don't have the experience Rank had. The fight with Tela Vasir was just amazing. Vanguarding it all around the place, calling reinforcements and stuff, taunting you while fighting, it was really visceral and meaty.
Ravel
from
Planescape Torment
. Now, even though you do fight her, I appreciate her much more as a
dialogue boss
. The chatter you have with her before you (possibly) engage in combat is enlightening, full of twists, and genuinely difficult to pull off. I can not remember reloading so many times to get a dialogue right in any game I have played before. Definitely one of the best dialogues I have ever had in a game. The "last boss" of PT is super epic too, but he doesn't beat Ravel in my opinion.
Sarif
from
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
. Much like Ravel, I appreciate Sarif as a dialogue boss. There are multiple difficult dialogue challenges scattered throughout DX:HR, but Sarif is the most memorable for me, because he is just a really amazing character. His acting, manner of speech, gestures, were all a super cool blend of awesomeness. I still remember clearly how he plays with his aug-arm, and throws a golf ball, and walks around his office (which is a stunningly amazing environment, by the way, I love DX:HR for how they can paint a picture of someone's life through how he arranges his personal space. Sarif's office, Adam's apartment, Pritchard's office).
The last boss of
Kingdoms of Amalur
actually surprised me in how epic he was. The tactics were not very hard, once you figured them out, but it was just a really cool monster to fight against.
Pretty much anything I have fought in
Darksiders 2
. Darksiders 2 has amazing, badass combat, an amazing, badass protagonist, and amazing, badass enemies. Also, the music that plays when fighting the enormous construct in ACT 1 made it to my playlist, because it is amazing. And badass.
Vaas
in
Far Cry 3
had a very cool "high as a kite" sequence played, before he died. It didn't really make
sense
at all, but hey, in Far Cry 3 you just do supernatural crap during hallucination sequences, that's how the game goes. Also the music was great when it played.
My own brain
from
Fallout: New Vegas: Old World Blues
. Once again, dialogue boss. Really cool concept in general, even though it didn't make a lot of sense. Also the
GIANT ATOMIC ROBO SCORPION
, encountered shortly before the brain, lol. I think he might actually be tough for some characters, but I just find him funny.
The missions where you have the wrestling match against
Killbane
in
Saints Row 3
. It was hilarious, ridiculous, good story advancement, and had kick ass music. I also really love the bitter scene when you finally get to kill Killbane later in the game.
I consider the
Big Sisters
in
Bioshock 2
the coolest enemies the Bioshock franchise has thrown at me. They were more like mini-bosses really, since you could fight them relatively often, but the encounters were still really epic. Super ninja screaming chicks in badass diving suits. The Songbird from Infinite comes close behind Big Sisters.
Hard to call it a boss, but I still remember the last mission of
C&C: Red Alert 2
for the Allies. The exact layout of the map and everything. I spent a lot of time doing that mission.
Letho
from the
Witcher 2
was awesome and really charismatic. It is amazing how, at the end of the story, he comes at you with something that is actually a pretty solid justification for all he has done previously. After the final dialogue with him, I actually decided to let him live. The entire scene was just so badass. Two grand heroes, armed to the teeth, meet up in the middle of a grand arena, and have a chat while exchanging a bottle of vodka. I love Witcher 2 for allowing me to not fight him, he was a good dude.
But really, if someone just asked me which bosses are the
most memorable of all games
, for me, it would be the first really big bosses that I defeated, back when I was young.
Jon Irenicus
and
Ultimecia
.
Baldurs Gate 2
and
Final Fantasy 8
are two rpgs I spent countless hours playing. I remember every single boss and almost every single nuance of those games. Killing their respective final bosses felt like a huge achievement, a grand finish after an extremely long journey. Add nostalgia on top and you know why those will hardly be beaten for me.

For some reason the colossi from Shadow of the Colossus are really memorable to me. That was a great game.
THIS. THIS THIS THIS. And this. They need to make more. I don't think it'd ever get old.
Also, the Vesper fights in FFXII were incredibly memorable for me, mainly because they were just beauuutiful.
Also, the last battle in Super Mario Land because I beat it before my sister did. I was probably 6-7 years old too.
