(( Page Four, and the introduction of a new character. ))
- Nilon bolted upright, but was pushed back onto the cot, a cold blade held to his neck. He was blindfolded and couldn't see anything.
- "Who do you serve?" a female voice whispered.
- "What?" Nilon asked.
- "Who do you serve?" the voice repeated, starting to sound irritated. "Tell me, or I'll slit your throat."
- Nilon was still confused, but gave the first answer that came to mind. "The Light, besides that I am alone."
- "We'll see, Horde," the voice said, then Nilon was pulled up to his feet. "
Move
!"
-
Horde
? What was this person talking about? Not a single one of his people were members of the Horde. Clearly whoever this was had mistaken him for something else entirely.
- The female led him through several turns and finally allowed him to stop. "Kneel," the female said, Nilon refused. Whoever had been leading him growled in rage, and kicked him roughly in the gut. Nilon's armor had been taken, so it was no wonder that he sank to his knees.
- "Highlord Fordring," the female said, "I have brought the elf to you."
- "Very good, Slayer," a male voice replied. "You may remove the blindfold now."
- The cloth covering Nilon's eyes was ripped away, and Nilon stared into the face of the paladin that had caused the Lich King to retreat. Like in the cave, the paladin wore holy armor and carried a mighty sword. The female figure that had led him this far was... well, he wasn't sure. Her body was completely wrapped in dark cloth. She could have been anything from an elf to an orc. One thing was for certain; she was about as tall as he was.
- Nilon also saw that he was in some kind of compound. He guessed that it had just been started, however walls and towers were already well under construction. Just how long had he been out?
- "He doesn't look undead," Highlord Fordring said.
- "That may be true," the rogue called Slayer said, "but remember what the ranger said: 'the Scourge are capable of hiding in the guise of the living.'"
- "This is true," Fordring said, "it's a shame what happened to her. If you are who you say you are, blood elf, then this shouldn't hurt." He held a hand over Nilon and the Light washed over him. Nilon's wounds and soul were soothed, he was at peace. But, as the Light faded, his dread and lust for revenge returned.
- "No, not undead," the Highlord said. "But, tell me, what is that darkness in your soul?"
- "Vengeance," Nilon replied. "The reason for it is my own."
- "Well, then you should fit right in with some of our allies here. Ah, here comes a prime example."
- Nilon looked in the same direction as the Highlord. Four figures were approaching. One was a male human, dressed in dark armor and carrying a pair of runeblades, an armored skeleton walking at his side. The third was a male blood elf, he, too, wore dark armor and carried a single massive runesword. At the lead was a human dressed in dark robes, he too had two swords strapped to his back.
- Each one of them also had glowing, ice-blue eyes.
- "
Death knights
!" Nilon yelled, and frantically looked around for some kind of weapon.
- "Calm yourself, blood elf," Highlord Fordring said, "they are friends."
- "How can you say that?" Nilon yelled. "They're death knights, monsters, they're-."
- "Enemies of the Scourge," the human at the lead said, "just like you, or so I would hope. I am the Ebon Watcher, eyes, ears and mouth for Highlord Darion Mograine here in Icecrown. This is Thassarian," he pointed to the other human, "and his skeletal minion Lurid."
- "Greetings," Thassarian said, giving a crisp salute. Lurid grinned.
- "And this," the Ebon Watcher continued, pointing at the blood elf, "is Koltira Deathweaver."
- "Hail," Koltira said.
- "The Knights of the Ebon Blade have turned against the Scourge," Tirion explained to Nilon, "and have pledged themselves to the Lich King's downfall."
- "Tirion," the Ebon Watcher said, "you might want to see this." He handed a spyglass to Highlord Fordring and pointed to the north. The Argent Highlord looked.
- "Soldiers, to your posts!" Tirion suddenly yelled. "The Scourge prepares an attack!"
- "Here," Slayer said, handing Nilon a bag containing his armor and sword. "You'll be needing these." With a wink, she ran off.
...
- Morec and Umbragos flew over the army of Scourge. At one point in his existence, Morec would have used words to rally his warriors. But, now, a display of power would suffice.
- He raised Bloodfester above his head, the blade glowing with unholy energy. The Scourge below cried out, they were ready to tear the flesh of the living. Morec pointed his runeblade at the small compound, and the Scourge swarmed towards it.
- "Onward, Umbragos," Morec said to his frost wyrm. "We have living to kill."
- Umbragos roared and flew towards the compound. Taking in a deep breath it sent out a torrent of frost that froze several warriors solid. The wyrm then pulled back out of their attack range.
- "Foolish
mortals
!" Morec shouted, "you
sealed your fates by coming here. I am Scourgelord William Morec, right hand
of the Lich King! His will demands that your lives are to be ended. However, I am willing to give you a chance to repent.
- "Lay down your arms and I will grant you the power, the blessing, of undeath. You will no longer have to fear for your lives, for you will be
eternal
. You will be
undying
. Surely such a gift is worth the price?"
- "You will never take us willingly Scourgelord!" the voice of Tirion Fordring called out. "We will fight to the last man!"
- Morec grinned. "All the more fun for me, then."
- Umbragos dove towards the living again.

Heh, Woot! Slayer ftw lol.
Glad you think so, I've got a lot more to introduce, and I'm even using some that I didn't reveal in the previews.
"but remember what the ranger said: 'the Scourge are capable of hiding in the guise of the living.'"
- "This is true," Fordring said, "it's a shame what happened to her.
Did you kill off Valinaria?
Did I say she died? How do we even know its Val they're reffering to, and not someone else entirely?"

That sounds like Valinaria to me, considering she is
1. A Ranger
2. A female
3. Former Undead that disguised herself as a living
Remember, there was also Flying's character from The Scourge Invasion who was a ranger. Who's to say that I didn't have her killed and ressur-

He is. He dosn't want people to know, though, it would seem. Why else would he be in diguise? It was an explanation along those lines.
the title says page 3....lol
I have no idea what you're talking about >.>

Writer's Commentary:
- The Argent Crusade. The Knight's of the Ebon Blade. The Horde. Nilon's going to have a time trying to sort out his loyalties, I think.
- This whole Page is a set up for the battle ahead; Scourgelord Morec and his army against Tirion Fordring and the Argent Crusade. It'll be heck of a battle, that's for sure.
- After the battle more characters will be introduced, along with a certain elf ranger I'm
dying
to show to you all...

- The death knights - one human, one elf - and a skeletal minion stood before him. They were clearly enemies as they eyed him with pure contempt and malice.
- "The Ebon Blade, I presume?" Morec said. "Tell me; at Light's Hope, did either of you or your leader at one point pause to consider the fact that the entire set of events was just a test of your loyalty?"
Interesting...

Yeah, that's what I'm going to start doing.
All the same, with what I said on this page, it looks like Morec's going to face off against Koltira and Thassarian, two of the most powerful death knights of the Ebon Blade.

Koltira and Thassarian have hardly any attention in-game. :(
I want to find out more about the whole "brothers in death" Sort of thing they have going on. No, not like that. >_>
