I would love to PvP in such a set.

Too bad no smart player melees a paladin from the front.
Those triks are horrible!

Now if we could get blizzard to get their thumb out of their ass and allow block to absorb magic damage too we'd be all set. No pun intended.

I think we know that will never happen, as that would make protection the most OP spec that has ever walked the face of WOW. That would be very ironic too considering they are tanks...

Too bad a smart Paladin won't allow themselves to be melee'd from the back, in most circumstances. Tanking in PvP ftw.
For BGs/duels, I'd swap out Libram of the Sacred Shield for Libram of Valiance - the strength bonus from SoV will be more effective DPS-wise than the extra BV, since ShoR will be capped already.
You should also coordinate Turalyon's / Liadrin's equipment so that you get the set bonus for HotR. Not like it makes a great deal of difference, since you'd need to in-game anyway.
Oh, and Greatness will proc for Stamina, not Strength, unfortunately. Str isn't high enough, unless it pops over due to raid buffs.
Edited again for my stupidity.

When you heal or deal damage you have a chance to gain Greatness,
increasing your
Strength
,
Agility
,
Intellect
, or
Spirit
by 300 for 15 sec.
Your highest stat is always chosen.
My bad, didn't read the tooltip properly. Makes more sense though =__=;;
It would've made a lot more sense if they just made the trinkets proc for whatever stat the base bonus applied to :P

Lavanthor's is worse than Gnomeregan Auto-Blocker because assuming 33% uptime (2minute CD, lasts 40 seconds), Lavanthor's will give 145.2 SBV, whereas Gnomeregan Auto-Block will give 66 SBV (from the use: effect) + 117 base SBV = 183 SBV.
You might want to rename it the
block value
set then, because 4.5% (!) block >>>> 38 BV for a block set.

Death's Choice
?
Assuming my calculations are correct, with a 33% uptime, it will give you about 322 BV on proc, to average out to about 106 passive BV. However, all that extra strength will also give you a crap-ton more threat from your other spells too. I'd go with
Death's Choice
> Autoblocker.

Quest is a BE.
And 106 < 117 BASE from auto-blocker.

Yes....
But you also get a hell of a lot more with 170 (theoretical) passive strength than you do by losing 9 block value overall.

Right, but there's the additional 200 or 66 average ON USE BV.
Which is why I specified BASE, since you mentioned PASSIVE.
I should just BOLD the text next time.
