The Achilles' Heel of Death Knights...

This is not by any means meant to be a trolling post, or any kinds of nonsense like that.
As the days go by in my WoW life, I often find myself bewildered by Death Knights, and how they seem to beat every single class into the ground with little to no resistance. I've thought to myself every day "Holy f**king crap, Death Knights need to be nerfed to hell...", but is that really the case? I see every day more and more non-DKs getting burnt up at how they're ruining tanking, pvp, and the game in general. Wether I agree or disagree with this doesn't matter.
Why is it, if Death Knights are not insanely overpowered, (not saying they are, just trying to use some logic) that they have no place in the combat triangle of WoW? By that, I mean where is their weakness? Mages? Warriors? Paladins? Warlocks? Arena and battlegrounds seem like they're around 50% of Death Knights...with ret paladins not far behind, and that certainly makes a huge statement.
I've been playing this game ever since it's release, and most of the changes were definitely for the better, however I feel like this class has completely imbalanced the game in a negative way, but you know what the funny thing is? I don't even know how. Perhaps it's the fact that their numbers are so rediculously numerous that every other class is facing an inevitable obsoletion...maybe it's because they've taken tanking and DPS by the horns and ripped it out of other classes' hands...I honestly don't know. But what I do know is that the more and more I see, the more disappointed I become that the WoW community is abandoning their original classes for a free easy mode character that can solo almost anything and rip any other class to pieces.
Not intending for this to be a QQ, which is may sound like. I would really like to know from you Death Knights
-What do you fear in PvP?
-What changes do you feel like you need in PvE (DPS or tanking)
I've been trying to find a weakness to these characters and I just can't find one.
-Sincerely
MB

Regarding PvE:they've taken tanking and DPS by the horns and ripped it out of other classes' handsNot at all. Perhaps they do have that strong Icebound Fortitude on a 1 minute timer, but other than that, they aren't some kind of 'super tanks' by any means. DPS-wise they are competitive if played with a little bit of brain. But by no means they can overtake other DPS classes as long as the players behind the characters are skilled. They are as competitive as any other class when players know what they do. You are exaggerating in an artistic manner, but also in an unnecessary manner.
Regarding PvP, I don't give a fudge. PvP isn't my cup of tea. Perhaps the fact that Death Knights are the equivalent of Paladins (plate armor, high melee and magic damage output, high survivability through cooldowns) makes them the most popular class in PvP. I don't really care. If we talk about world PvP, I have yet to meet a Death Knight that can faceroll my feral druid. Only high amounts of resilience can make them stand a chance. Otherwise, like I said, I don't give a damn.

Just read the various DK forums enough and you'll see DK's have problems with other classes when the opposing player knows how to play their class well - arenajunkies.com, tankspot.com, wow official forums, here, etc.
Paladins are our main counter in pvp, they do similar damage but can self-heal (real healing, unlike Blood's siphon abilities).
And contrary to your impression, we're not the most popular class in Arenas, at least not past 2000 rating:

Thanks for all your replies. They are arguable, well thought-out and non-flaming.

I play both. I find that a hunter spec'dd MM can pretty much control a DK into submission. as long as his CD's are up. Feral druids and burn a DK. Disc Priests are very effective against them. its just a matter of how you deal with there CD's, not how you managed yours

we
shamans
are also the melee class most susceptible to snaring effects.
We
Shamans
have one way to get onto another class in PvP.
That's Deathgrip
That is talented frost shock and shamans still have to run at normal speed
.
And u QQ about DK?

1) Our weakness are paladin, frost mage and survival hunter (not the retarded ones, the ones who know how to play).
2) The main advantage of DK in BG is that they can Death Grip. It is a unique ability we have that is the opposite of Charge, but that is alot more deadly. Charge make you get in the pack of enemies in front of you. This lead to a certain death. DG is a "You! Get here!". You pull the player into the pack of players, which result into a certain death for him.
3) Personally I feel we are "perfect" for PvE. Beside some itemization that is weird and seem more oriented for Fury War, its all ok.
4) For PvP, I wish we would have a snare breaker, but I guess just roll a gnome or human :/

I had a shaman pre-Wotlk, and everyone claimed they stank, but I was generally top 5 in dps, and did fairly well in arenas. Arenas as enhance was a royal pain, DK's run down the same line as enhance shamans did pre Wotlk. No CC except maybe hungering Cold, one ability one ability to close the gap (Death Coil) and it's on a cooldown, all of our attacks have to deal with both rune cooldown as well as GCD making it all time orientated, they have no ability to heal themselves substantially, and no ability to break out of CC without trinketing this makes them very limited in pvp. What we do well is burst damage and with high armor we can waste people pretty quickly. However a mage who knows how to blink and use alternative forms of magic as we have one silence which is only 5 seconds and has a huge cooldown will beat me down unless I get ahold of her first. A good MM hunter can kite me to death, and I hate locks and retadins. Freaking 20 plus health and 3 fears is just plain wrong. Retadins, and feral druids cause me the most problems, because they can heal and escape from any form of cc or slow down I throw at them. A shaman played right can even be a problem, Frost shocks and burst damage can wear down a dk fast, luckily most shamans suck at pvp lol.
I have found that most people who say Dk's are way op are people who don't know or haven't taken the time to perfect their own class (I am talking to every shaman who carries daggers or doesn't Dual WF, come on it's not that tough) Rogues who don't keep poisons, up and the always fun retadin who never buffs people and doesn't use seals. Think about it, Remember in the past everyone had a hunter and a rogue and hunters were op and then feral druids were op, but the truth is over time we found that they weren't op most people just stink at their class lol. I can't tell you how many melee guys I see in pve who fight in front of the mobs or casters who don't proc their cooldowns and trinkets unless it's a boss fight. DPS takes brains sure it's not as tough as tanking or healing, but sheesh learn your class and play them and stop crying about OP, because the first time I kill a feral druid without surprising him will be the first time. Stupid cowards run away and heal!

There has always been an OP class of the month. Right now its DK's, if it werent us it would be someone else. Just get used to it, and get over it. One day it might come around and be your class again.
The class feels pretty balanced in PVE. I think the fact that no one on any of the forums can come up with cookie cutter specs is proof of that.

I think he means that for the most part there are a few ways you can go to do good damage. With Frost there are 3 viable dps specs out there with small changes on each of them, and Unholy has about 3 or 4 and Blood has 2 or 3 depending on how you like to play.
