Sure, it's ninja'ing. But only if you don't tell everyone exactly what you plan to do with the loot. Tell them you'll hand it all out at the end, and tell them that you do accept gold payments for epics. That way, they all know what they're getting into and can't blame you.
Of course, you'll find it MUCH more difficult to get a group that way, but you'll find it more difficult to get a group eventually anyway, once word spreads that you're a ninja leader.

By the way, sale of drops by MLs IS considered scamming.

me doing this is no different than a Guild Master keeping recipes, boe epics, etc. which in a way should be a free roll for anyone with that profession, and boe epics that @#$% in a guild bank and never get to anyone.
Um, it is completely different. Guild vs PuG. If my guild was running something and wanted the ML to hold all loot until the end, I'd have no problem. Guild MLs take recipes and Boes to distribute as they deem appropriate. Nothing wrong with that.

It's exactly the same as forcing a 100 need roll on every single item, and then selling the items back to the party at the end of the run.
HOW, exactly, is this fair? You gain a severe profit from the run simply because you decided to gobble up all the loot until the end. I'm surprised anyone groups with you (and if they do, I will be VERY surprised if they ever do again).

I'm trying to find out how anyone can think that selling the Mammoth without letting everyone roll on it is NOT ninja-ing. You must have the most twisted sense of logic ever and be borderline retarded to come up with the train of thought that led to this conclusion.
The only difference between this and normal ninja-ing is that instead of letting people roll on the item then taking it (yes you are taking this item even if you leave it on the boss - you're selling an item that as the ML only you can touch) you cut out all the raid rolls completely. You're reputation is probably *!@# right now and its hilarious you would come on these forums to brag about it like you're some genius.

Out ninja the ninja, brilliant! Your plan will surely be a huge success and your raids will be the most prestigious on the server.

I'd be well up for going on one of these, not for loot but to see the results when he is blacklisted and spammed of server

If the RL/ML does not state the loot rules in advance, all bets are off. You should have queried them beforehand.
If, however, they state that the raid will roll for loot and then they sell a hot item for gold, I believe Blizzard will consider it a scam.

Let me give on you an example.
Mount drops. Everybody rolls. A relatively poor players wins. The player is not willing to sell it, because it's more important to him than money. Poor players is happy.
Now, you lead the group and the mount drops. You take it, wait until the end of the instance, and the bidding starts. The same poor player has no chance of winning when facing bids of thousands of gold from rich players. Poor players it now not happy.
See the problem?

Argent, I am assuming that he does not, as this was his brain child.
Personally, I think this is a Horrible idea for pugs. we have done it in the guild for speed runs (it really saves a lot of time in Naxx wings)
additionally, it's nothing like the GL putting stuff in the bank (boe's, shards, ect) as the members of the guild end up using them at a later date.
Glad you made a profit. Good luck. Stay the hell off My server.
