That's why I'm proud to be a drood :D
I try to tank whenever i get asked. But only if my ability to was as good as my will, I'd be SUPER

Eek, a roleplayer! :)
Thats what I love about druid, having played a pally and warrior to 70 in the past. Flexibility for the win!

Alas, I never did any tanking with my pally. I was either healer or (lol)dps.
If you were interested in being a pally.. be a druid instead. They are so much more fun.

Pally's can tank good. really good. there is one problem with it though: Tankadin's get a lot of their aggro from being hit, not from doing the hitting. Therefore with tankadins you always have to let them get hit 4 or 5 times before you start slow DPS, then start nuke DPS. Technically this is no problem, the mobs die just as fast and are glued to the pally, the problem arrises when idiot DPSers can't wait 5 secs before DPS. Sadly this is very common.

Just the other night I was asked to toss HOTs out to the whole raid while one of the healers assigned to raid healing was down. I was previously in DPS/off-tank mode. I absolutely love the versatility of the class. I drained my mana with enough left to shift back to cat and then went back to DPS.
I think Paladins are certainly the only other class that can do things that are so cool versatility-wise. Like ... tankadins healing themselves while they're tanking. That's some funny stuff.

I'm a 70 Drood main that got through the entire levelling process basically alone. I tried Moonkin and Tree and all the rest, but to get to where I wanted to be, I chose a feral build and am sticking with it now that I'm tier 4'd.
I do love the versitility of being a drood. What I think sucks is that I carry 3 sets of gear at all times. Off heal now and then for Kara bosses, off tank quite a bit, and dps my tail off alot in the bigger raids. I tank heroics and run arena for fun now and then. It cost me a ton to gather all the sets I'm called to use and epic leather tanking gear is near impossible to get ahold of until guildies run you through enough raid areas to get anything better than clefthoof.
I wish Blizzard would make as much feral gear as they do rogue gear for those of us who love to shift shape and mangle our way through life.
Yeah, feral itemization still needs work. However with the new change to HotW it makes rogue loot a bit more feral friendly. At least ferals these days HAVE itemization. Pre TBC, it was so incredibly horrible as to be laughable. Back in those days I was still feral and was "lol'ed" about it quite often. At least these days ferals have some options for gear.
