I would suggest a nice Frost build. Howling blast along with a DND and you have an insane start aggro.
Also make sure you are in Frost presence. It don't matter how good a tank you are if you are in Blood or unholy presence tanking you will not last long and will likely loose agroo if you do.

That is what I use. with it you don't have to focus to much on those multi pulls about your diseases falling off. you pest and they renew and spread so just keep them up with a pest while poping HB on multi pulls and frost striking with Oblit. I use this when tanking the keepers in Ulduar because of aclimation staying up you don't get hit as hard by regular attacks
Also the reason I didn't glyph Icebound is really at 80 you should have 30% at least and you really shouldn't get hit that hard in raids.

There's a reason you dont get saved to a Heroic Instance until you down the first boss. There is also a reason why there are certain trash mobs before the first boss. I generally take this time to see if the tank or healer is fail at their job. I can understand not being good at aoe, but if you just auto attack and pull aggro then something is wrong. Leave when you can, there's just no reason for you to have to attack half the time because the tank can't keep aggro.
That being said, do run the regular instances for practice. I bet if you spam lvl 80 tank lfg regular UK or Nexus that people would jump all over that. And read the stickies in the druid forum, they are probably helpful.

Tanking as a DK is fairly easy, D&D - Death Grip - Strangulate - Pesticilence - Blood Boil are all your friends, even Death Coil helps out when your Death Grip cools down. You also got Dark Command to help you in holding aggro.
What I usually do:
1. Pick a starting mob and mark it
2. Set up D&D
3. Stack diseases on this starting mob
4. Pesticilence or Howling Blast or even Hearth Strike (depends on spec)
5. Randomly roll my face.
PS: if there might be a mob who somehow manages to reset aggro, you've got:
1. Strangulate for casters (far away)
2. Mind freeze for casters (close near you)
3. Death Grip (for either casters or melee far away)
4. Death Coil (for either casters or melee far away)
5. Dark Command (for close and nearby casters/melee)
5. D&D (for groups of mobs, or when all above are on cooldown)
I dont often use Rune Strike, while it can come in hand to click it and reserve.
Tanking in frost presence is your friend. Trust your healer, or talent in Death Strike.
You can also make a macro for creating and instantly sacrifising your ghoul by using Death Pact
And as a last resort you can also try to summon your Army of the Ghouls.

I'm not even talking about doing anything, I literally just auto attack and pull aggro. I'm not going to stand back and watch while the tank struggles to keep aggro from the healer.
To your CC thing...If you ask that in a pug heroic nowadays people will respond with "What is CC?"
I've said this before, but I'll say it again: No CC makes me sad. They finally get a wide variety of different solid crowd control mechanisms in play, and then make the instances/raids so that you never see them outside of PvP. :(
I'm not saying that every instance should be rife with mobs that have to be controlled, but I still remember what a challenge (if mildly annoying) it was to try and get the flame casters in Zul'Aman pulled apart and CC'd so that they couldn't nuke the group.
Overall, I like the redesigns of the instances; they seem to flow more smoothly, but having a few tricky spots would make them more interesting in my opinion.

Loads of good advice here, so hope it helps you out :)
Tanking is definitely a challenge, and one I've semi-recently come to myself. I'm pretty comfortable with it now, and mostly run with my guild and friends, so I can usually tell when a mob getting loose is my fault, or theirs, and can react accordingly ("oops, I need that one <taunt>" or "you pull it, you tank it").
I tank on my warrior, but one druid-specific tip I didn't see on here is HoTs: If you're starting a pull with no rage (don't bother if you have 10+ rage), drop a rejuv+regrowth on yourself before you start. It'll generate a little threat on every mob in the pull and can give you that bit of an edge in intial threat buildup. It won't make or break you as a tank, but if you're struggling, well...every little helps ;)
More generally, don't be afraid to ask your group for things you need. When I was learning we were already outgearing the heroics and had been blitzing them for a whle...and I was marking up CC targets, using lots of LoS pulls, asking for the hunter to MD every time it came off cooldown...I was doing all sorts to make my life a bit easier. When I'm fury specced and we don't have a DK to deal with multiple casters I'll usually start by running off to pummel the caster that decided to stay behind.
Anyone who rages about a tank that asks for help needs shooting, imo. Everyone has to learn somehow :)
