So, i've thought about this subject, and i go so far, that JC is bad. Now the 30 stamina gems have arrived with patch 3.1, you don't need JC any more. I though of some different professions, and of what i can see, as for a paladin. BS and LW might be the best, from BS you would get 2 extra sockets, so that is 60 stamina with 2 times 30 stamina gems. From LW you will get the 90 stamina bracer/wrist enchant, that is 50 more stamina than the one you get from enchanting. Maybe your thinking "why LW?" The reason is, that protection paladins get more hp from stamina (If we spec right). So you would get more from LW than mining, which gives the 500 hp from Toughness. Now you might think, but you get 3 times 41 stamina gems from JC. They optain sockets and is only 11 stamina better from the 30 stamina gems. If you think that something than this is better, share your thoughts :)
Discuss! :D

JC + BS all the way.
Stormjewels or "epic gems" are unique-equipped (1).
So you can only have 1 stormjewel across all your sockets.

My bad with the Stormjewels ^^ Discussed it with some friends, and they weren't sure, but they thought they weren't unique :)

JC+Alchemy.
Fast Alchemy Facts!
Alchemy gives about:
320HP advantage w/ flask
I can get roughly 500 EH from
Elixir of Mighty Defense
@ 30k health all by itself.
I would still have room for a
Battle Elixir
, where if have a veriety of choices to fit just about any tanking method!
My favortite being
Agility
or
Strength
. Agility gives roughly 275 EH (dodge and AC) ups our crits. Str gives (not gonna bother) EH and some added DPS through our best threat/DPS stat.
So in reality, its 775+ (scales with your gear and buffs, im calculating off 32K tank) effective health and huge versatility in choices to fit any encounter (you get about 1000EH around 40k life)
vs.
500 bigger health pool with is generally useful regardless of encounter.

Also quest, people can't use a flask and 3 elixirs at the same time... So 48 stamine from 2 extra sockets > 320 extra HP on a flask, talking progress.
No one said you could. Try and read slower I guess =P

Alchemy doesn't give 320 hp, it gives 650 hp. For a protection paladin buffed with kings that is worth more than 51 stamina. For a protection warrior buffed with kings, it's worth just less than 56 stamina. For a feral druid buffed with kings it's worth more than 42 stamina. For a blood DK buffed with kings, it's worth just less than 56 stamina.
And that's not even taking account using elixirs over flasks.I don't really know what you're talking about here... Stoneblood gives 1300 hp, and if you're an alchemist, you get the buff to all flask effects (that you can make anyways), giving you an extra 320 hp (1620 in total).

Mixology is a 50% bonus to the effects of flasks/elixirs and a 100% increase in duration.
It's not a definite 50% bonus to the effects. It ranges from about 33-50%.

Doesn't change my point, BS > alchemy.
Yes, your BS is greater than alchemy. *snickers*

48 stam * 1.1 from kings * 1.14 from talents = ~60 stam, so indeed less than a flask atm.
When we get epic gems it'll be better though :)
r u dumb.
