Used the preset Enhance shaman weights.
from this link
http://www.wowhead.com/?items=4.3&filter=sl=1;ub=7;preset=7.pve.enhance;gm=4
Looks like the
Thundering Skyfire Diamond
is showing up as having
240 haste instead of a proc
and thus a ridiculously awesome score. That would be why your hats with meta sockets are getting sorted oddly.

Nice to see that it weighs the gems, but the best would be if it would check the socket bonus as well. What I mean is that for hunters, for example, the red and yellow gems are twice as better than the blue ones (if you go pure dps, that is), and if the socket bonus can't compensate for the loss of stats by putting in the weaker gems, then the system should tell me not to bother with matching gems, and rather go with the best ones.
Its a really simple comparison, the question is: is <matching gems+socketbonus> better or worse than <best gems, but not neccessarily matching> ?

When you choose a class, the talent selection doesn't appear in IE7.
Fixed, thank you. You might need to manually clear your browser's cache.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I'm afraid what you are suggesting is already implemented.
Taken from
WoWInsider
:
One feature the Wowhead weighting system has that is missing in some other systems is intelligent gemming. Most of the time, socket bonuses are not sufficient to make it worth matching color, since one gem is overwhelmingly better than the others for your spec (for instance, Shadow priests almost always will use Runed gems). But there are exceptions. The Wowhead system will automatically put in the gems that result in the highest net rating, taking socket bonuses into account.

Is there any way currently to save a template that I have created? My stat weights differ slightly from the template, but I don't want to re-create it every time I come back to wowhead. Maybe implement a way to save templates to my account.

What are the default weightings based on? I never knew spell haste is less valuable that spell crit for a holy priest...
Also, there is something very relevant missing - incorporating main hand/off hand values so one can actually compare them to two-hand items. I know this could be difficult, so maybe you could solve it that way that the user can choose an offhand item to take as value source and your weighted list only displays the main hand or two-hand weapons.

Sort of see what I did here? I tried to make speed 100, because it's important to enchancement shamans. Except whenever I set Speed to 100 it defaulted to 0.1.
With the introduction of this weight system, speed became a weight. I haven't messed around enough to get it to use slow speeds as a higher score, but this is close to what I mean.
Sorry if I'm not making a lot of sense.
EDIT: Got it!

This is exactly what I mean. See how now it's making 2.6 weapons better than 1.5 and doing so using a weight rule? I don't exactly know how to make it stop thinking Grip of Mannoroth is so high up though.
Actually you are wrong. Weapon speed does not effect enhancement shamans. You care about weapon damage, not speed.
Also, currently weapons use the same presets as armor, which means they don't have any additional weights for weapon DPS, or weapon damage. For now you need to add those yourself.

Do you even know what you're talking about? You may want to check your facts before you start schooling people.
Weapon speed is
extremely
vital for Enhancement shamans, go take a look at the EJ wiki page.
I noticed you didnt include values for spell haste rating for the holy paladin preset (and possible other healers aswell). At a certain gear point, haste rating is by far the best method to improve your HPS and has several added benefits. (more smooth healing, lower GCD, a 5 GCD rotation for resto druids, etc)
For me one haste is worth about 2.3 (in my lootrank preset) healing. (as sunwell geared holy pala) Though this is a way too high number for lesser geared people, haste rating still is a valuable stat at every gear level.

enh dps is from wf. and the more you clip wf cds the more you're doing it wrong. in addition to that, ss damage is not normalized, so the slower the better.

You can do this with the quick filtering (right clicking on the column) but that doesn't allow you to set both upper and lower limits.
Try using something like 20-30.

You want a slow speed weapon, which means you want one that hits the hardest (slow + high DPS = hits hardest), the best way to find that is by searching for a weapon with the highest average damage.
Maybe you need to see it to believe me.

Unfortunately we do not have an average damage filter
*yet*
, so I used minimum damage instead. But look at these weapons now. Your 1.5 speed weapon is GONE, and you are left with the weapons shown on
this page
(its the elitist jerk page you pointed out for me to look at).

It would be great to include the ability to save your own presets. For instance, regarding prot warriors, the value of avoidance changes depending on how hard and how often a boss is hitting and thus will vary depending on progression level and individual fights.
The preset you have is a great starting place for someone who is not an expert (with the exception of block rating, which is entirely useless for a warrior
unless
you are building a passive crush immunity set which completely changes the weighting anyway). I realize I could just save the URL, so this is perhaps not a significant improvement....
If you feel that a certain preset sucks or could be improved, please let us know what it should replaced with.

Miscommunication on my part concerning 'damage' and 'dps', apologies for that.
The link you posted lost all its value for DPS though, giving certain slow weapons a way too high rating. (like the level 60 pvp epics)
An approach where you actually value the stats you find important (thus DPS and Speed) is going to work better than a band-aid though. (which 'min damage' is)

Can you save "weights" to your account? Can we save "multiple" weight presets to your account?
I think I like the tool, but not if I have to re-adjust it everytime I close my browser.
