Starting in Outland at 58, looking for advice or suggestions

I was thinking I should start leveling and questing in Outland now that I am 58 on my priest. I am 28/21/0. I bought some Outland greens to replace my SM gear( try not to spend money to save for mount and everytime I did run an instance, always got outrolled by the rest of the casters in the party).
My friend suggested getting a party and trying to do every single quest in hellfire peninsula. Also try to do the first two instances as well.
I'd link my armoury stats, but I'm at work so I can't go on the armoury since it's blocked here at my work, so If you wanted to see that, look up Damuramu on Hydraxis.

You should do fine, to be honest. Not too sure about holy/disc, but I took my shadow spec'd priest to Outland at 58 and didn't have much problem just doing quests solo til she hit 60. Then I went out to Orgrimmar and learned that I hadn't trained skills since 52. So I figure if I was able to do it with level 52 ranks of spells (missing two ranks of Mind Blast, even) with my Scarlet Monastery gear - it's not too hard. Your friend's advice sounds just about right. :)

Hey friend,
Welcome to the outlands.
My priest was disc/holy and 58 too when i entered the outlands.
I didn't even got a single BC gear. You will do fine, just begin with all the quests you get in Honor Hold, and you will get some fine gear from the rewards of that quests.
I did not have any trouble doing them. Good luck and have fun
*edit* I said Honor Hold, but that only counts if you're alliance offcourse.

since you can get heroic keys at honored rep, you only need to worry about saving quests for factions from which you want a revered or exalted rep item.
the outlands quest gear upgrades are insane. do lots of questing. run blood furnace for healing gear (the robe from last boss lasted me until ... um... level 70, i think! gogo socketed items!)
i've played priest & mage in HFP. now that i've seen the difference is kill times, try to find a friend or guildy whom you can quest with regularly. it will be so much easier and go so much faster.

Might be a little offtopic, but I never understood the point of levelling disc or holy, really. A shadow priest out of shadowform is a sufficient healer in any instance, and of course shadow grinding is much less painful, especially with Vampiric Touch.
