Stacking Def Rating?
Return to board index
So i was over at elitistjerks when i saw a post that showed the following:
39.34799 dodge rating = 1% dodge chance
40.9875 defense rating = 1% avoidance (broken up into .333% dodge, parry and miss, respectively)
49.18499 parry rating = 1% parry chance
Now i can clearly see how stacking dodge is better than parry based on these numbers, but i also understand that eventually DR will make more parry rating better per point.
But then i see how close defense rating is to dodge rating. Only 1.6 rating point difference, which seems really negligible to me. Plus considering it adds an equal amount of parry and dodge it should keep either from suffering too much from DR. And lastly you get chance to be missed which cannot be had any other way.
So since defense rating is so close to dodge rating, would it be best to stack defense rating so as to not have to worry so much about if I'm hitting a wall with DR trying to stack dodge?
The fact that the difference between the efficiency of defense rating and dodge rating for avoidance is so small maked defense rating better because Icebound Fortitude gives more damage reduction based on your defense skill. The higher your defense, the better Icebound Fortitude becomes :) Dodge rating has no effect on that.
